I have a 1992 hitachi
Replace both of your STK ICs STK392-110s use 120s or 150s
Mats Electronics has them 1-800-628-1118
They are Big Black ICs will have PN# on them.

Complete loss of audio; video
In that case the internal audio amplifier has failed - most likely the power IC has died, it happens. All you need to do is to locate it - follow the speaker wires to the board, next to where they plug in you will find an IC with a radiator = unsolder it from the board then go to a hobby/electronics shot (or search for an replacement online) and get an identical one, solder it back and attach it to the radiator. That is all.

Convergence circut
Usually there are 2 convergence IC's, labeled STK392-110. Each IC has 3 channes. Each color needs to be corrected 2 ways, vertically and horizontally, so 6 channels are needed. usually one IC does red, red and haf of green while the other IC does the other half of green, blue and blue. If the red colors are off, change the IC closest to the red jack. If the blue is off, change the IC closest to the blue jack. If the green is out, you have a 50/50 shot at replacing the correct IC. It is recommended to use the STK392-150 when replacing the IC's so it might not be a bad idea to go ahead and replace both with the newer numbers.

Will not come on.
On the high voltage board the connections on the Horizontal output transistor are probably bad or other connections. I have had several of these and that is what I found..

Had the digital cable box installed yesterday. The tv worked
The cable box has an AC outlet on the back of it and sometimes the installer plugs the TV power cord into it. This outlet has two modes--IE: on all the time or switched. If the outlet happens to be programmed to the switched mode, the cable box has to be on before you can turn on the TV. If the outlet is on all the time, then you can turn the TV on at will. So, you have to decide if the TV is plugged in there or it is plugged into the wall recptacle. If none of this explanation fits, then we need more information.

Hitachi really red picture
Wally, 2 things can cause that, 1) bad solder on red driver transistor (mounted on Red picture tube board) 2) bad red cathode in the red tube which means big bucks (new tube), may not even be available on that old of a set. Hope this helps BMW Rider

Change input on Hitachi LCD TV model LE65K6R9 without remote?
I'd unplug/disconnect the Roku and after 30 seconds try the control button on the back. If you can change the input do so, then plug the Roku back in. Until you use the input button on the back to change input to Roku, you should be able to use the other buttons on the back to control the TV. If this does not work, unplug both the TV and the Roku. Wait maybe a minute, then plug the TV back in and follow the above instructions. Here are other alternatives: Using physical buttons: You can find the physical buttons on the left or right back side of the Hitachi TV. Using these keys, you can change the input, adjust the volume, or turn on Hitachi TV without a remote. Press the Input button located at the back or side of the Hitachi TV. The list of connected sources will appear on the TV screen12.
Using external devices: Connect a wireless keyboard or mouse to your Hitachi TV and change the input1.
Buy a universal remote: You can buy a universal remote to control your Hitachi TV and change the source.

How to remove small popup bottom left of Hitachi smart tv screen.
A little popup that appears in the lower left corner of your Hitachi smart TV screen may be related to one of the TV's settings or capabilities. You can attempt the following actions to get rid of it:
1.Investigate notifications:
Smart TVs occasionally show notifications for different events or upgrades. If there are any notifications, look for them and then clear them by following the on-screen directions.
2.Applications and Inputs:
Make sure all programmes and inputs are closed. The popup may occasionally be connected to an input source or app, which can be closed to get rid of it.
3.On-Screen Display (OSD) Off:
There might be an OSD option in the settings menu on Hitachi TVs. Try disabling OSD or changing its settings to see if it gets rid of the popup.
Verify any software/firmware updates:
4.Make that the most recent firmware or software upgrades are installed on your TV. Pop-up windows may appear as a result of faults in outdated software. Look for a software update option in the TV's settings menu.
5.Firmware Reset:
You can conduct a factory reset on your TV if the problem persists after you've tried various troubleshooting measures. The default values for all settings will be restored as a result. Make cautious to back up any crucial data before doing a factory reset because doing so will also remove any customised settings and data.
6.Message Hitachi Support here:
If none of the aforementioned fixes the problem, it's a good idea to get in touch with Hitachi customer service or refer to the TV's user manual for detailed instructions on how to get rid of the popup.
Regarding External Devices:
7.The popup may be related to any external devices you have connected to your TV, like a cable box or game console. Make sure that these gadgets are operating properly and that the settings have been changed as necessary.
Keep in mind that depending on the type and software version of your Hitachi smart TV, the precise processes and options may change. For instructions unique to your TV model, consult the user manual, or go to the Hitachi website for further help options.

Hitachi LE42S704 none of the HDMI ports work, need to update (i think)
Are you getting the various HDMI inputs on the screen but it acts like nothing is connected? We have repaired hundreds of TV's with no HDMI signal over the years and have never had an update correct this issue. There is an IC close to the HDMI input jacks (U501) that decodes the data, that's always been the defective part. You can order the part and change it but you will need advanced soldering skills and the equipment to do it, I'd recommend replacing the main board if you can find one.

Can't highlight or select digital channels to autoscan on hitachi 51f59a
It sounds like you're experiencing an issue with your Hitachi 51F59A TV not allowing you to select or highlight digital channels for autoscan. Here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:
- Check the TV's settings: Make sure the TV is set to the correct input (such as "TV" or "antenna") and that the channel search or autoscan feature is turned on. Consult the TV's manual or the on-screen menu for instructions on how to access these settings.
- Check the TV's connection: Make sure the TV is properly connected to a digital antenna or cable box. Also, check that the cables are securely connected and not damaged.
- Check for a firmware update: Sometimes a firmware update can resolve issues like this. Check the TV's manual or the manufacturer's website for instructions on how to check for and install firmware updates.
- Try a factory reset: If the above steps don't work, you can try performing a factory reset on the TV. This will restore the TV to its original settings and may resolve any issues with the channel search or autoscan feature. Consult the TV's manual or the on-screen menu for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
- Check for a hardware issue: If none of the above solutions work, the issue could be caused by a hardware problem with the TV. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a repair professional to have the TV serviced.
