yes the 2 watt resistor is actually better than the 1 watt. They will both work in place of each other. The important part are the ohms they have to be exactly the same.

you have the DP23 chassis IK04 is a STK392-110 and IK05 is the stk392-150 the two resistors RK58 is a 4.7 ohm 1watt metal film resistor and RK62 is a 2.7 ohm 1watt metal film resistor. Only use metal film 1watt 5% resistors

First, recheck your cables, and their configuration. Make sure whatever source you're using is properly connected to the television. If possible, check your peripheral devices by hooking them up to another TV.
If you're just connected to cable, and if you've already fiddled with all of the on screen menu settings for audio without any luck, then it's possible the TV has some mechanical defect requiring professional repair, and you should not attempt this yourself.
In the meantime, you can try hooking up a stereo to the TV's audio output jacks (use a pair red and white cables to connect the audio out jack on the TV to the auxiliary jack of a stereo). Turn both of them on, set the stereo to aux, and see if you get sound.

The factory default access code for this TV is 0000.

However, ff you have changed the default code to another number and cannot remember the new number then you can overide this using the combination 7777.

This will overide any changes you made and automatically reset the access code back to 0000. You should now be able to access and change the lock feature using the default 0000.

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

This is a very common failure on these projection sets and a fairly simple DIY fix. All projeciton sets including Samsung, RCA, Sony, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Pioneer, Akai, GE, JVC, Toshiba, and others at some point will have the same problem.

Common Symptoms include....

• Screen looks 3D
• Colors don't line up
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
• Screen is bowed or warped.
• TV shuts off after powering on. Power light will blink. TV may also make a chirping noise.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right. And you should be able to get the grid straight.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a fix

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses.
