Projector shuts down after only a few minutes.

I'm having the same problem. My Model is PB8253. Projector started, then afer a couple minutes it goes off with the red lamp led flashing.
Just replaced the lamp, but the problem persists. Tried to remove all connecting cables, except for the power, but still the same problem.

I have a PB6200 BenQ

There's a display "toggle" sequence on your computer to send the signal to your external post (VGA?). Look at the Function keys (top row) for a screen icon. Hold Fn key down and press that Function key (on Dell, usually F8). You should get an indication on your screen of which outputs are active -- look for BOTH.

If I turn on the

I had the exact same problem, I followed the advice of Victorbello on this site, and found a bulging capacitor where he suggested to look. Read where below.
I soldered in a new one from Radio Shack ($1.50) and the projector works again.
PB6200 symptoms: Back fans were not working Bulb won't light (but is in perfect condition) LEDs on control light, but not three status LEDs Internal fan will not turn off.
Solution: The mainboard had a bad capacitor The board is the one where all 3 fans are connected, and which is facing upside down on top of the powerboard.
The bad capacitor on my projector was a 25V 470uf 10mm diameter, 16mm high, 5mm lead spacing capacitor.
"I recommend you to open your projector, unplug all connections to the fan board, turn it upside, and inspect the capacitors and other components. Bad capacitors have a bulge and/or a black stain or fluid coming out on the top."

Benq pb6100, light bulb does not on, power ok

I fixed the exact same problem on my PB6200. Both back fans were not working, and the bulb would not turn on.

In my projector, the fan board had a bad capacitor. The fan board is the one where all 3 fans are connected, and which is facing upside down on top of the powerboard. The bad capacitor on my projector was coded C7302 on the schematics. It's a brown, 25v 470uf capacitor.

I recommend you to open your projector, unplug all connections to the fan board, turn it upside, and inspect the capacitors and other components. Bad capacitors have a bulge and/or a black stain or fluid coming out on the top. You can find pictures on the net.

My BenQ PB6200 Projector image

Hello
Get into 'Menu' => 'Source Menu'
In Fucttion you can see descriptions. If the projector is at table postion, the image will he correct as it is the default set by cmpany. If the projector is ceiling mounted, select "Ceiling mount". When you select celing mount option when the projector is placed on table, the image will be inverted. Your selection should be saved in the projectors' memory IC as you switch off the device. When you switch ON it again, the same settings should be retrieved from its memory IC, and last position memory status should be thee. If not, be sure that the memory IC in the circuit baord is defective,a nd should be replaced with same type and number. This is a very skilled service work, and should be done by amy well experienced service technician; or by the Authorised Service Center for BenQ at your town. Replacing mamory IC is not a job easly done by the customer. OK.
