How to transfer pics from leap pad 2 to pc
If you have the LeapFrog Connect software that came with the Leap Pad 2, then transferring photos, artwork, and videos is easy. Accessing those photos on your local hard drive is just as easy, although not very intuitive.
When you plug the Leappad 2 into the USB port of your computer, the software should open and ask you if you want to upload new content. After you choose "yes" that content can be viewed in the Creative Gallery. On the top right corner of the creative gallery, you will see a link that says "Local Files." I am including a picture to make this easier to find. The link will direct you to the place on your hard drive where all the pictures, artwork, and videos from your LeapPad are stored. You can then move them to any folder or harddrive on your computer.
The folder on my computer can be found at C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\LeapFrog - your folder is probably in the same place.

Leappad tuneup stuck at 5%
This toy sucks. I've had a really crappy year, but three months ago I had a good month and had a little extra to spare so I decided to buy, for Christmas the Leappads my two daughters had been asking for since last year's Christmas. All good? NO! After being very excited and seeing the happiness on my two little girls's faces when they saw their gifts I was very happy with the way this year was ending. Until it came time to get a few "apps" and connect to the internet etc. with these things. Nothing works, no updates, no registrations, nothing. To add insult to injury, I've my proof of purchase for these two items has been lost and I now have to sit my two little kids down tomorrow to let them know that their "dream gifts" are useless and may remain that way for the foreseeable future. I've plugged a lot of stuff into my computer and have never had any problems, until this little kid's toy came along and nothing works.Way to go LeapFrog. I followed your instructions and am now stuck with two absolutely useless toys after spending the bulk of my Christmas day trying to get these stupid things to work!!!

When you press the screen
You
can try calibrating the stylus pen. Hope
this works :) Here are step by step instructions straight from the
Leapster2 website:
If your Leapster2 does not respond to the stylus pen, it needs to be calibrated. Calibrating the Leapster2 is easy:
1) Ensure that a game cartridge is not inserted in the Leapster2
2) Hold down the Hint (?) button while
turning the unit on. Continue to hold the Hint button down until the
LEAPSTER2 menu appears. Remember that you need to hold the "Hint" button
down the whole time while you are pressing the power button, and
releasing it.
3) The LEAPSTER2 menu will show the
options Base Info, Cart1 Info, Cart2 Info, Cart3 Info, and Touch Calib.
If you do not see this menu after powering on the Leapster2, turn the
Leapster2 off and repeat steps 1 & 2 until you see the menu.
4) When the LEAPSTER2 menu screen appears, press the A button on your handheld.
5) Using the stylus pen, touch each of the crosshairs that appear
6) Restart unit

When I turn the leapster2
we have had this problem with our Leapster2 for a while. Found this solution this morning and it now works great!

Callibration
If you touch your stylus pen to the screen of your Leapster2 and it does not respond, your unit needs to be calibrated. To do this, make sure no game cartridge is in the unit. Turn the unit on while you are holding down the "Hint" or "?" button. Keep holding the button down until the Leapster2 menu appears. You will need to turn off the unit and repeat these steps if you do not see the menu. When the menu comes onto the screen, press the "A" button and use the stylus pen to touch each of the crosshairs as they appear. When you are done, your unit should be properly calibrated. Read more:
