Absolutely you have fried a board or at least a portion of it. As many fail safes as their are - nothing short of a miracle will prevent permanent damage on a reverse polarity hook up like you describe.

Hello,

Since this 6200 is purchased at an auction, i will advice you put it on service, you will need to service the unit before you can use it, once it is service, the problem should be fix.
