Canon LaserClass 2050 Plain Paper Fax Questions & Answers
SAYS PAPER JAM BUT THERE IS NO PAPER JAMMED?
Open it up to see if there is debris in the unit, Could drop a pencil, small piece of paper, paper clip, etc. in unit. Turn it over to see it something falls out. Clean it as best you can.
Check cover/cart appears. tried changing
the message you are getting will show up for both toner and cover. There is a switch that the cover triggers when closed located onder the main unit cover. The tab on the cover goes into a slot located kinda left of center. That switch is infamous for getting stuck or knocked out of place so the tab does not see it. The cartridge is probably good.
Cant get incoming fax
be sure phone cord is plugged into line port..not tel. Or your machine is in manual mode. Press button under lcd panel that says recieve mode until display reads fax/tel.
Machine is saying "output tray full" no faxes
Open the fax. There is a small door that allows access to the fuser for jams. There is a little black tab to the right on the door. Reseat it so it is level and pivots freely. Close up machine should start faxing. This tab is a flag for a photointerupter. Is easily knocked out nof place.

324 ERROR ON CANNON 2050P
That is a laser scanner code. Sometimes the power supply will also throw this error. The power supply is located under the long plastic cover in the back and is easily replaced. The cost for a laser unit is quite pricey and not really worth it. A new fax can be purchased for about the same coin.
Cheak cover
When you open cover, from left inner side of cover is plastic nose, that fits into sensor hole. With screwdriver, remove 4 screws, remove fax cover, and put sensor in upper position.

I have a Cannon PC940
the problem is not from the contrast but the toner inside ..probably it is the developer and the roller that needs to be cleaned...cause something was wrong with the cartridges last time when you changed them ..cause it is not supposed to lick like that ...anyway ..open it up ..and clean it good..also the developer and all it is ..after that I suggest to change the cartridge cause it is either licking or it is not good from the factory ...and it will print...it may print a few lines after that ..for a while until it cleans itself for good..but it is definitely not a setting or contrast issue..
