Problem ir 5570

First check the settings in the paper cassette of the machine and make sure it is correct paper setting set for the tipe of paper.Check the paper detection sensors on top of the dadf and test -if you push them down they must return instandly. If the sensors take a while to return to home possition, the copier calculate a diffrend papersize.
It also help if you blow the dadf with compressed air.
Good luck

My Cannon ImageRUNNER 2270 is

Check to make sure that the paper size dial on the paper cassette is the same as the paper size in the cassette. Portrait or landscape? I don't know whether you use American sized paper but the dial Must be LTR ( front to rear orientation of paper ) or LTR-R ( Left to right orientation ). I know of no other reason for the problem.

Can not get the copier to pull paper from the top

Hello,
first, pull out the top drawer and open the right lower cover and door. now if you look into the "hole" where was drawer, on right side you will see the 3 rollers that pick, feed and separates the paper.
Remove all rollers and clean them with alcohol and dry them out, or change the places with rollers from lower drawer. Also when the right door are opened you will se two axis with two rubber rollers, clean them very well.
The iR2270 has issues with pressure on lower right cover and you need to put the rubber or similar in wide and narrow slot on lower cover, so that when its closed presses the inner paper guide which touches the rollers on axis. If You already have metal "wings" on lower cover, you don't need to apply any additional pressure.
But necessarily change the roller for paper of both cassete's and in fixing unit the fixing cleaning roller.

Hope that helps!

A voided line prints vertically on all copies

Are the lines only showing up when you are using the doc feeder? If so, you may want to clean the white - out off the adf slip glass.... If that is not the problem, it may be the drum unit or the developer unit. Also, it could be in the optic's of the scanner. Good Luck

Canon 2270 error code e000540-8005

Hi levin,
This code means that your finisher (stapler/sorter) had a problem moving the output tray(S) up and down. This can be for many simple reasons.Make sure that there is nothing obstructing the movement of the finisher output trays. Nothing stored below the output trays. Once we are sure that nothing could possibly be in the way of the finisher trays moving up and down we can proceed to reset the code. First, locate the "additional functions" button located to the right of the display. To me it looks like a cross between a human head and the " *" button. Press it.You will see a menu of tabs. The top left should say common settings. Press it and use the arrow button at the bottom of the screen and scroll down till you see "Limited Functions" mode. It's normal state is OFF, but you will probably see that it is "ON". Select the limited functions tab and this will bring up a new menu that has an on or off tab. We don't want it on so please select off and then press the"OK" button located at the lower right corner of the screen. Now hit done/exit/reset...whatever it takes to back out to the main screen. Now,on the panel locate POWER button located at the upper right corner of the panel. To properly shut your device down, you must go to the power button and PRESS IT AND HOLD IT DOWN for 3 to 5 seconds and you will see the shut down screen appear.Follow the instructions on the screen as you are properly shutting down the device. If for some reason this does not move smoothly and logically then you can (if you have to) just hard power off the device using the power switch located on the right rear side of of the device, slightly below the halfway down portion of the device. Either way, this will ultimately be how you power off the device which is what you will need to do. Wait a few seconds and then switch the power back on. One of the first things the copier will do is energize the finisher and the finisher will lower it's output trays briefly and then return to it's "HOME" position. If it does this successfully (as we hope) you will be ok. What we have just done is told the copier to reset and attempt to function normally. Hopefully you merely had a brief and minor malfunction and all will be reset and all will be good, and that would be the normal outcome of what we just did. However, it IS possible that you have a genuine finisher problem and if that's the case the code will return almost immediately and you have a mechanical problem that will require a screwdriver from someone. That is to say that although I could fix it if I were there, being Canon factory trained, the level of expertise required to diagnose and fix he problem is typically beyond the average person. I would have to get out the electrical diagrams among other things. But I bet you are ok now. If I helped you, please let "FIXYA" know. I wish you the best. :-) SPINAL

Imagerunner 2270 - When we make copies it is

Try making a copy directly on the glass with the top down. If this isn't correct then you have to go into service mode. Be careful of what things you highlight in this area because there could be problems after. Press the additional function key and then press the " 2 & 8 " keys at the same time, then the additional function key. If it doesn't work the first time press the reset key a couple of the times and start over. You should see something like copier, feeder, or fax depending on what configuration you have. Press COPIER, ADJUST ( across the top ), then ADJ-XY, ADJ-X ( this adjusts the image top to bottom ). ADJ-Y-DF adjusts the reading start position from the Document Feeder. Good luck.
