How do you change the

You have to replace the whole toner/drum unit cartridge. There is handle on the left side. Release this and then the whole reader section of the copier will move left. Raise the right side cover asnd below this is the drum cartridge. Gently lift out and replace it with a new one.

My canon 940 Pc will

Hi andygrisham,

If there is no evidence of power on the printer then the most likely cause is that the power board inside of the printer has failed. To correct this issue, try to unplug the printer for an hour and switch it to a different power outlet and see if it will come on. If it still will not then to resolve it, you would have to have the power board replaced to restore functionality.

Hope it helps.

Welll its not a canon

Hi There and Welcome to Fixya,

Usually, paper jams can occur at the input location right at the bottom of the printer - always remember that even a tiny piece of paper can cause halt in printing, hence, the error message.

Here's what I'm suggesting for you to do :
  • Start with pulling out the tray from the printer and look for ANY crumpled/pieces/fragments of paper that could be tucked in.
  • At the bottom of the printer is the feed area - do the same thing and remove any pieces of paper.
  • Ensure that it's absolutely "paper fragment free" before returning the tray back at the printer.
  • Next, is to open the top cover and carefully remove the drum.
  • Remove any pieces or fragments of paper that you find.
  • Carefully slide back the drum, ensure that everything snaps into place.
  • Close the top cover.
  • Restart your printer.
I most certainly hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Error Message EO? We moved the copier and set it

This error "E0" indicates that there's a fuser problem with your Copier, usually heating issues. The fuser is the part of the machine that gets very hot and fixes the toner onto the paper after they are passed from the drum while printing. This means that your fuser isn't heating up properly or is never heating up. It could be the heating element within the fuser or the over-temp fuse may have blown out.
If you have another spare fuser, you can try with it and verify that the installed fuser is faulty or bad. It's recommended to replace the fuser unit, but before that, I would suggest you to let a local technician check it for you. Sometimes fuser could be repaired, but not always. Your last option would be "replacing the fuser".

Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

PAPER got stuck, pulled it

Look inside where the paper was stuck. There is most likely a tiny piece of paper still stuck in there. Use a compressed air can to blow out the inside of the copier.

Purchased new ink cartridge for my Canonpc940.

The figure 8 with a check mark is the paper jam indicator. The machine thinks there is a paper jam somewhere. Just check the whole machine inside and out, including the bottom paper tray. Hopefully you can get the jam reset and make sure the toner is ok. As long as the box that the toner came out of has E20, E31 or E40 you should be fine on the toner.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

My PC 745 comes up

completely remove the paper cassette and look for A SMALL PIECE OF PAPER stuck inside the machine in the paper path. Also use a flashlight to check for tiny bits of paper in the exit section of the machine where the fuser (hot) rollers are.
