Paper jammed light stays on after removing jammed

Make sure you have opened all doors and pulled out all paper trays. After turning the copier on and off if jam light stays lite then you will most likely have a sensor problem (fell out or broken)

Where is the fuse on the canon pc-940 copier. It

Why would a fuse have any thing to do with a clicking sound? If the fuser or fixing unit was having a problem you would get a error code. Have you replaced the toner or drum cartridge any time? If so, was the noise there before? If it was not recheck the installation and if you put the old parts back in and you have no noise, it has to be the new cartridge.... Good Luck

The copies come out with a black smudges on them

This can be one of several problems -
Dirt on the glass - (or inside)
Dirt on mirrors.
Failing ioniser or HT circuit
Failing or dirty electrostatic roller.
Failing toner scraper blade
Damp paper
Dirty heated (fuser) rollers (most common failure)

Most items that are likely to fail should be easy to get to - so remove and clean these first - then check again.

If you want a run-through of the basic mechanism involved - try here to help understand the process,

Copier worked fine, I transported it and now the copies blur.

On a similar rebadges machine i had the same problem. IT turned out being that the LSU glass had come slightly unglued and fell back into the machine what caused all the copies to be skewed and blurred. I'd give that a go first.

Copies are coming out with a faded or blank patch

Check the toner cart and the drum is it old/new is the toner cart properly installed. Is the LASER glass clean it should be protect by a cover ensure machine is off when checking and cleaning the LASER **** glass. Also check if you can print out a machine developed document such toner/pages printed document to see if this problem is related to the scanner or the drum/toner/LASER, if these document print out clan then the problem is with the scanner Btw, I’m available to help over the phone in case u need at https://www.6ya.com/expert/normanj_7893313f0751935f

Gear grinding noise when copier operating

wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be a toner cartridge. Have you had to replace it sine the noise began? Is it remanufactured / compatible? I won't be surprised if the grinding stops once it's replaced. Just my 2 cents.

Blurred on right side but fine on left

Difficult to say, but it sounds like you may have somehow dislodged a mirror, or somehow contaminated the optical section. You'll probably need to have it looked at.

Push copy button-get error 2

It's a 95% chance the lamp under the glass is dying and needs replaced, usually a $150.00 expense including parts and labor, which may be wiser to put towards a new machine.
Good luck

Canon PC940 Problem

You could have a broken exposure lamp. Does the scan bar light up when you make a copy? If not that is the problem. You might also ck the contacts on the machine where they touch the toner cartridge. The toner cartridge opens a shutter to the drum when you slid it into the machine and that may be broken.

Says there is a paper jam but there isn't

if the machine goes straight into jam code once switched on, its usually a good sign a sensor has broken or it has fallen out.
