How to open IRiver T20 MP3 Player to replace battery
The T20 has a 'built in' battery like most modern mobile phones have. Changing the battery isn't easy, it involves taking the player apart to access the battery. It may be easier to replace the whole MP3 for a new one.
Windows xp drivers
Make sure you have the latest version of Windows Media Player. XP has all the right drivers but the iRiver needs to synchronise with Media Player inorder to transfer music onto the player using the sync function. Get Media Player 10 or higher then plug the iRiver into the computer.
T20 makes me mad
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
