Either the wire is broken inside the insulation, or the batteries are dead.

if it is a ball type mouse unclip bottom of mouse take ball out and clean with metho and also clean inside where ball touches with cotton bud and metho put back together see if this helps

i just got one too and u have to do it head on hard or  it wont work
