Exactly a minute after you turned it on it went out, did it go out with like a bang or spark, seriously, this would indicate that the wiring wasn't correct somehow, i know u checked the fuse for the correct ampperage required and the most important question do you have an amp because most aftermarket head units aren't wired for 6 speakers, unlike oem Bose unit which has a built in amp and 6 wires output, you should have rca jacks which requires a amp for the additional output speakers. I could be wrong regrding how many output available on your new head unit.

Im not getting any power to it
hi lizzy, please make sure that the power wiring (red, black and yellow cables) of your unit is correctly connected to the vehicle. next check if the blk wire(ground) is connected to the chassis(metal body part) of your unit (use a mutimeter). if not then attach a wire from the body of your unit to the blk wire. also make sure that your antenna lead is connected to the unit, and that the antenna is securely grounded to the body of vehicle. once power is correctly connected your unit will light up a red LED light in the power/source button. if all this does not help it will be advisable to have unit checked at jvc service center. cheers!
Where do you connect
The yellow wire is most likely the memory wire as it needs to be connected to a constant 12 volt source.
"Hook red wire to to acc fuse" means you need to hook into the fuse block under an Accessory Fuse. (ie: something that can't be turned on unless the car is running or the key is in the "Accessory" position)
The red wire is explained above. It does not connect to the harness.
Just remember that the yellow wire needs to be hooked to a constant 12 volts and the red needs to be hooked to a circuit that is only active when the car is running or switched to the "ACC" position.
Cd stuck in player
sometimes a butter knife and a lot of patience works but other times i found it easier to remove the head unit and disassemble it. Its a pain but itll save the cd and your lens from any possible damage
It refuses to eject my
try pressing the reset switch. it should be a small depression on the face or subpanel about the size of a pencil tip. if that doesn't work, try disconnecting power to the radio for an hour or so.generally it is best if you can disconnect power overnight.
