Casio Triple Sensor Pathfinder PRG60-1AV Wrist Watch - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Older casio triple sensor has small metal
These small clips are just hooked around small prongs. You need a VERY small screwdriver (now that i think about it, a needle may work). Just pry the looped ends up and lift gently. I have done this a couple of times, however when I replace my batteries nothing happens. Last time I had to send it back - some info stated there was another battery deeper????? That is why I am looking into this now.

After changing the battery nothing can be changed, no function possible and"open" remains written on the display, the type of the battery is clt 1616
The battery is CTL 1616 and I had the same occurance when I opened up my model Casio model 3043. I needed to use the battery to test my model 2767 and find out if a new battery would bring it back to life (yes, it still lives). After replacing the battey back into my 3043, I jumped the (ac) to (-) and at first the watch would indicate all was well but then it would revert back to "open". I tried over and over to try and get the "open" display to clear but I was not successful. I then thought to go ahead and replace the back on the case to see if the three contact springs would change the display and sure enough, "open" no longer was in the display. The watch works perfectly as before. As for the 2767, as soon as I jumped the (ac) to (-) the "open" display went away. There is only one spring contact to the back case on the 2767 model. Unfortunately I do have an extra spring that fell out when I opened it up and I have no clue as to where it goes. I have not found anyone who can help me on the location for the shorter spring. Any advice would be most helpful.

Hope this helps.
Battery change
I received a message from a member of the group suggesting a solution to the problem. I followed his advice and the problem was solved. My thanks to him and to the group for the assistance.
Now I need a manual for the Casio CBX-102. This will be a gift to my grandson who is attending college and needs to understand how to use the Data Bank. If anyone can suggest a source for the CBX-102 Data Bank watch I'd appreciate it.
Thanks to all,

Like anon129 I had the same problem. Those "outdoor" functions need more battery power than just telling the time and the stopwatch do. When the rechargeable lithium battery gets old and tired - which they apparently sometimes do for no very good reason - it can't provide enough power when required to, so it goes into recovery mode. It's very annoying but if your battery level indicator is already showing H the only solution is to replace the battery.
My second battery seems to be lasting better, but I'm not leaving it charging in the sun for ages this time, as I think it overheats it when the battery is full. I'm also not using the outdoor features as much, and the light hardly at all.
Not very helpfull
Because it is not a documented problem for this watch in the user manual to be found at http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw2767.pdf
Are you sure you acctually have a Casio Protrek Tough Solar Ana-Digi PRG-60T unit or do you perhaps have some other model of Casio watch and have posted in the wrong place on the forum?
Open display
This is not a documented function of the watch in the user manual to be found at http://ftp.casio.co.jp/pub/world_manual/wat/en/qw2767.pdf Also I have this watch and it has never done this.
It sounds to me like either watch case is not closed properly or there is a fault with the CPU of the watch.
Battery Replacement
Do not lay the tweezers across any contacts as you may damage the watch.
First you need to examine your watch movement and find an AC point (contact). It is embedded on movement. Use an eyeglass, as the writings can be very tiny.
When found, touch an AC point with one arm of tweezers and battery+ with another arm simultaneously.
Some watches needs to do that twice, so, to be sure, do that twice.
If
you are not comfortable with tweezers, you can use a thin wire,
connecting one end of the wire to AC point and another to battery+.
Each shortcut should last for 3 seconds.
Do not forget to rate, please.
PRG120 button tone
Does the alarm work? if not, it is quite likely the battery is low. You can tape it up in a window to recharge the battery for a couple of days, direct sunlight is not necessary. Normally "Recovering" flashes. If the battery has been depleted for too long, it is possible the battery is now damaged and may need to be replaced.
As for settings, try pressing both buttons on the right side simultaneously in various modes, especially settings or alarm modes and see if that turns back on the beep. Perhaps press the upper left button for 5 seconds until various options start flashing, then try double right button presses and see what happens.
Hope one of these helps.
