It is rounding pi to 3
Sounds like you're in fixed point mode with 0 decimal places. To return to floating point, press FIX then . (decimal point)
Use RAN# button to gnerate random numbers
The RAN# button generates a random number between 0 and 1.If you want to flip a coin, see whether the generated random number is less than 0.5. Alternatively, multiply by 2 and see whether the integer portion is 0 or 1.If you want to flip a die, multiply the generated random number by 6, add 1, and ignore the fractional portion. This will give you a number in the range 1 through 6. A similar method will allow you to generate random numbers in any range.
Multiplying Avagadro's number
The problem is how to enter the number on the calculator. after it is typed in, you can use in any kind of operations.To enter Avogadro's number you enter the mantissa 6.02, then you press the [10^X] key then the exponent 23 The [10^X] is on the second row of keys below the [1/x] key. How to get calculator out of fix mode
press MODE key until it displays

press the 3 key to select normal mode
(1 selects fixed notation, 2 selects scientific notation)

The display mode is set to FIX display format. You can change
it to some other mode like SCIentific aor ENGineering. But you will
have SCI or ENG on the screen. But why bother? These symbols are
designed to remind you (if you need reminding) of the calculation and
display modes your calculator is set to. It is not a defect.
