How do I enter -log(3.45x10^-11)?
I would do it the very old fashion way, but I know it will work on any calculator;)
3.45 x 10 x/y (x to the power of y) (11+/-) /* this should get you the number inside the bracket */
log /* this should give you the log of the bracket */
*1 +/- = /* this should give you the answer*/
I get 10.462180904926725879050933879218.

Calculate square root nth
use the x ^1/y key. It's the shift of x^y key. So the 3rd root of 8 is found by entering 8 then shift then x^y then 3 then =
Remove decimal dot
Why? If number is decimal the dot is needed. If the result is an integer, just ignore the dot.
Fraction to equivalent
after typing in your fraction tap the '=' key then tap the 'a b/c' key again and it will show it in decimal
How to solve for future value
If you have the formula you can use the calculator to find future values. But do not count on this calculator to do it for you. It does not have a business/finance application.

How do I change from
You can set your display mode to FIX or NORMAL ( 1 or 2) if you have them. However if the result is too small ( less then 0.001) or too large the calculator will use the scientific format. Generally if there are not enough display positions to show your result, the calculator uses scientific notation.
