U have convergence board issues. Sometimes over time the solder joints on the board go bad or develop minute breaks. U might try removing the board and resoldering every thing you can get it. U can also consider baking the board in an oven at around 270 degrees for about 8 minutes to melt all of the connections on the bottom of board. Then remove, allow to cool, cross your fingers and see what happens.

you most likely need to replace the convergence ICs. If you are lucky, they may have unsoldered pin connections at the PCB, you can try re-soldering those loose pins. What usually happens is that because of the heat generated, the pins have become detached at the IC also, thus the need to replace the ICs. Some of these have either fuses or resistors to the ICs that have also opened & will need replaced also.

This means that a part is failing. Check the boards for bad connections, and bad parts. IT could be in IC that is bad too

in the source menu button select the HDMI option to recognized the source signal with HDMI output.

There are two of them that need to be replced as a set. They are both STK392-110 Convergence Ics you can get the original oem Ics from www.tvrepairworld.com they are listed under the Integrated Circuit catagory you only need the one set. They also have the convergence repair kit listed for your model under the JVC repair kits the kit has both ICs all 12 resistors and the CD with step by step repair instructions.

In the menu on the tv setup you should find a test pattern that can be displayed for converging. In that menu there may be an auto converge which is much easier. If not, with the patter up you will have to manually converge the individual guns in the tv with the back off. There are adjustment knobs or screws for focusing the guns.

If its 3D looking or warped looking its a convergence failure. This is common on all projection TV sets. This video may help.

Thats caused by the convergence ICs and low ohm resistors. Very common problem with all rear projections. You can get the JVC convergence repair kit for your model from www.tvrepairworld.com the kit contains the ICs, Resistors and the CD with repair instructions.

I have a 54inch jvc floor model with no sound and it will show a picture then the picture goes out and power button flashes red, can this problem be fixed

It can be damaged the audio exits by the side where the speaker connects

converge stk's failing replace and check always check the big resisters for ohms replace even if they read off by 1 ohm any deveation here is critical to the performance.

You sure can. Your models factory default is the cable option. Press the menu button on the front of the TV. Scroll to the "Auto Tuner Setup" menu, select the "Air" option, then press OK.

hello my is rico and i work on tvs sometimes. it looks like bad convergance but on this tv sometimes has cold solder on the power supply, on the flyback with cold solder, and pico fuse with 5amp. check your board inside your tv underneath for cold solder on the entire board, if you need more help with your tv feel free to call me at 602-810-7149 i live in mesa az

I had a similar problem with my 42 in Philips LCD HDTV.

Here was the problem. My Power Supply Board had several bad capacitors. I opened my TV (warranty was expired of course) and found four bulged capacitors. Many electronics companies were sold capacitors that failed in 2-5 years instead of 10-20. The capacitors fail prematurely due to a lack of preservatives. Unfortunately, they were installed in all sorts of devices and cause a wide range of failure problems.

Here are some options for you.

1. Have it fixed by a professional

2. Open your TV and find PSB. Check for faulty caps. If you find some (bulged or leaking) bad caps replace the entire board.

3. Remove and then replace individual faulty caps. This takes some soldering skill.

Caps are inexpensive and if you can take care of it yourself it will save you hundreds.

I have a tip/tutorial on this site that may also help. It gives step by step instructions for replacing caps on PSB #715t2432-2. If this is your board you are in luck. It's called: Fixing the Philips Turns/shuts off on its own problem.

The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergence board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead too.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved pictures convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-$350 for parts and labors.

Oh dear. Unfortunately it will require new oil to be installed with a repair of the lense or maybe replacement. The static convergeance will then need setting up, not to mention contamination on the electronics below the leak (if there is any).
A long and expensive job, not a job that can usually be done in the customers home.
