Check the video output section circuit for any loose solder terminals. This section can be located at the neck of the picture tube. It will be plugged on to it. A rectangular printed circuit board, have some components soldered on it. Check the solder terminals of these components for any loose contact. Take a special care to 'Red' output section. It will be best to resolder all the suspected solder terminals by applying a little more fresh solder, without making any solder bridge short in between adjecent solder terminals. The red power light is

This sounds like an internal problem and most likely something is broken in the circuitry inside.

Unfortunately this can be anything from a fuse to a capacitor to a short.. or even bad hardware, all of which depend on the TV model and type.

As a good test with most electronics, try to defuse the power remaining (lingering) inside by unplugging the TV and with no power going to it - hold down the power button for about 5 -10 seconds and then release and wait about a minute (as a good rule to do with all electronics). After plug in and see what result you get. If the same problem exists, you can usually remove problems such as bad circuitry. (But, not always)

If you have a manual, sometimes the best thing to do is read any trouble shooting they have listed and see if you find the same problem, and lastly. Call the manufacture.

The screen has lost the brighness. I can't make it

ok, thanks for clarifying.
it might be a connection problem with the RGB connectors (im not sure of the exact part name, sorry) inside the TV.
DO NOT OPEN THE TV YOURSELF!! you could be electrocuted.
I suggest you bring the TV in, try to get a free estimate first.
I hope this helps.

JVC AV-36260 TV Problem TV won't turn on

I have over 10 years experience in electronic tech support.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described can't be fixed with troubleshooting. Your TV will have to be repaired. There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. The blinking red light is like an error message that indicates to a service tech what's going on with the set. If you're still in warranty, the TV will be repaired at no charge to you. The warranty would likely be at least one year from the date of purchase from the manufacturer. If you purchased an extended service plan they will repair the TV at no charge as well.

If the TV is no longer in warranty, it will likely cost a minimum of $150 parts and labor. This is assuming that you only need a power supply module. If the problem is more than one of the circuit boards, the price of repair could go much higher.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Second try, unplugging the tv for at least 2 minutes then plug the tv back in. This should reset the tv if you have lost the original remote with the display bottton.
