Codes for a magnavox universal remote to operate a jvc analog tv D-series

Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. One among it has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Programming Notes • If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote. • Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality. This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device. Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device; in the "Search box at the top right of the display window" to get gathered related posts.

Hi when i connect my asus pc to my tv to show a powerpoint it works for about 10 mins then tv says no signal and counts down from 5 mins why is this what can i do?

check your tv settings for standby mode. It may be set for 10 minutes to turn off if there is no tv signal like a power saver feature. It may not recognize the computer as a signal input. If I put my tv on a channel with no signal, it will turn off automatically after a short time. The same happens if I have it in video mode for the vcr and if the vcr isn't playing, after a short time the tv will turn off.Good luck

How to turn off clock on jvc tv

Press the "Menu" button to set the lock code for your JVC TV. A padlock icon will appear on the menu display.

Press "Zero" to access the lock code function then use the left and right arrows to select the four-digit number for your code. Use the up and down arrows to move to the next area of the display.

Select the up or down arrow to finish your lock code then use the left or right arrow to save your lock code settings and exit the menu. You can return to this display if you forget your four-digit lock code and set another code.

Write your four-digit lock code down and keep it in a safe, private area.

Select the locked TV channel you desire to watch or want to unlock. A message will appear on the display requesting you to enter your lock code to unlock the channel.

Unlock your JVC TV by entering your lock code on the 10-key pad. The message "Invalid Lock Code!" will appear on the screen if you enter the wrong lock code.

JVC AV-25P8-PH TV turns on (the

Hello,

The issue you describe is consistent with a power supply board issue. This is the board where the AC goes to. This problem may have occurred as a result of irregular power supply, or excess power supply or power surge.

The TV is receiving current but cannot circulate or transfer the current to other necessary part of the TV because of the defective power supply board.

I do not think it needs replacement, rather some defective capacitors are causing this issue.
Open unit up and take a look at the power supply board. You will probably see one or more electrolytic filter capacitors that are bulged up in the top-not perfectly flat like the others.

The value of these capacitors will be different, most likely they will be somewhere around-820 to 2200uF/25 V( or /10V sometimes)

You can replace them with same values but I would recommend the voltage rating to be higher(like 35V for an original 25V) for reliability purposes.

What happens is,these bulged top capacitors will cause a low and unfiltered DC voltage=main board will malfunction(the relay will keep clicking until the caps are holding enough charge to bring the voltage up over a threshold point).

You can buy these capacitors at any Fry's or Radioshack store or you can order them online at vendors like "mcmelectronics.com"(look for electrolytic capacitors).
After replacing these capacitor(capacitors) most likely the normal operation will be restored.

Note: There may be also some other causes for this symptom ,like a defective T con board ,or main board, but the bulged top capacitors are the most common cause for this issue.

If you don't know about TV repairers, take the TV to the nearest repairman to fix the fault for you. Also, note that TV stores a lot of current, so wait a while before opening the TV back cover.

I hope this helps.....

Good luck.

Where do I complain about

You will need to adjust the audio on your TV. In this case I would shut down the bass boost and shut down the surround sound. Surround sound is sometimes called expansion sound. These are located on the menu under audio control. You may be satisfied with operating the TV in mono sound. Try this and see if this is better.

Background music is unbearable on

I had a similar problem.. What's needed is to change the audio mode of the tv.
You may need the original tv remote to access it's setup menu or maybe able to do it with onboard buttons. (not the channel setup, but the screen brightness and hue and other stuff - Audio setup)

When entering the audio setup, you may find you're in surround sound or some other "type" of sound processing. Maybe simple Speech mode will suit you. Try different modes till you find a happy medium for your own taste.

Greg! you may have bad connections on the main board, flip the board over and carefully check the solder points, flybach transformer, horizontal driver transformer, video circuits to name a few, if you are handy with soldering iron all the better, some solder joints are hard to spot so use iron anyway. Make sure you resolder the parts that I have outlined even if the solder looks good.

JVC 32" D series TV is suddenly black and white

Wow that's interesting, was there anybody watching your home while you were gone? There is a possibility that someone simply turned down the color level with the color control? Check that first. It's an unusual symptom. With composite video, component video or HDMI it's not usually possible to experience that defect. Since the color (chrominance signal) is usually inseparable from the luminance (black and white signal) I would check the color setting first. Other wise your set has become unable to detect that color signal... I bet it's a setting rather than a defect.
