JVC TH-C3 System Questions & Answers
How can i make the
Source the TV-related sound (probably from the cable box, huh?) as if it is an external audio device, which it IS. The TV need not be a part of the audio path. Some of us have monitors without speakers. It doesn't seem to be a show-stopper.
Listen to DTV DVR output on TH-C3
im not familiar with this model. can i assume it is a small home theatre system with limited inputs?
in that case, the best thing to do is to feed all your devices...cable, dvr, dvd, etc....into the tv.(audio and video). then use the audio output of the tv to the input on the receiver. you may have to go into the tv menu and set the audio output to the speakers in the tv to fixed mode for a constant level out to the receiver.
good luck
When I turn the device on, it turns off almost immediately
Have you checked your speaker wire some times when you turn on something it will shut off if there is a wire touching each other. also if you have a fan that cools your system if it doesnt work nothing with high power will the am fm radio will run but your system is getting hot by what it touchs
Speaker is not working, although
remove the speaker that is inop and hook that channel up to a good speaker, this will test the speaker, if the substituted speaker works then u need to replace the speaker that is inoperable, if the known good speaker doesn't work then the amplifier is defective or the speaker wiring is defective, check the connection for that inop speaker at the amplifier, insert and remove the wires several times to make sure you have a good clean connection, if this still doesn't get the speaker to work on that channel you have a defective amplifier.
Our power went out briefly and now the DVD player won't turn on

Im not familiar with your dvd player, if you can open the dvd player and locate the check the fuse. replace it if its blown up. hope this helps. if you may have any more inquiry feel free to ask me again. best regards, thanks.
No power to subwoofer
The subwoofer is designed to be "on" at all times. It will detect signal from the cable and should start by itself. So yes, the pin cable must be connected.
