Question edited for clarity, full 'make model (what it is)'. This is an Amazon, eBay, Newegg, Overstock special and basically a device without a maker. There is a South African minerals company that share the same name but no Mintek maker of electronics. The only option would be to take it to a computer or electronics repair shop locally and see if they can diagnose.
