What is more than likely the issue is that your HD Plasma TV may have a burnt-out Inverter or bad Inverter cable, as these are two components are key to the back lighting necessary for illuminating your plasma screen.

In cases like this, it would be advisable for you to contact the manufacturer (LG) first, to see if there are any known issues they are having with your model of plasma TV, or if there have been any whole unit or part recalls for this model.

The next step I would recommend after contacting the manufacturer would be to take your Plasma TV to a local TV repair shop for a least a diagnosis to see what the cause of the screen black out may be.

This does appear to be a hardware issue, but check with the professionals on this problem, is my recommendation.

On your Z Board :

• Check Fuse (FS1, FS2) on Z-B/D normal?

(In case of open is replace)


• If yes , Is the output voltage normal after remove

P1 connector of Z-B/D?


If yes,


• Replace Z-Board.

Hello.
Put your old board back - if TV will turn on and dark picture will still present - then you just have purchased defective board. If even old board won't bring picture back - probably Plasma Panel couldn't take it anymore and died.

its either bad caps on the PSB-power supply board or the Y-SUS main board is bad or a component has failed on it. Remove the YSUS and take it to a PC repair shop the does board level test and repair. It's more cost effective to rework the exisitting board than to buy a new one. Or you can buy a refurb online. I say PC repair as they are cheaper than your local TV repair person.

zsus board is the problem. need to replace board.

Try connecting any other device to the TV and check to confirm whether the issue is with the TV. Then, try resetting the TV to the factory settings. If the issue persists, try Power resetting the TV and check. If the issue still persists, the TV may require service.

The power supply board is dead.That the board,where the power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

That could be the Z board, but most likely the sustain and upper/lower buffer boards. The brightness is found in the Z board. Try to find a repair shop to repair on the component level because the cost of new boards out weighs the cost of replacement.

this will cause the lines on your tv after replacing the ysus it could well be that ysus mabe faulty still if u replace buffer and find u still have the lines 9/10 times when the ysus goes it normally takes out the buffer board on these worst cases the control board,, but im 98% shure its buffer board.. let me know on here if u find out.

i tend to replace the hybrid chip myself ,, but this guy has loads no its not me,,i dont have the time,i own my own tv repair business, so, hope this helps.

is this with the dvb freeview ,,, if so u require a update,, a engineer is needed or buy a replacement dvb board from ebay,,, hope this helps..

A common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your TV and look at the power supply on the left hand side.

You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.

An aging plasma display and or the ysus.......zsus board set up alignments will cause this. If it is better warmed up........the ysus board may have some slow capacitors causing the adjustments to change causing mis firing pixels A qualified repair shop can check and hopefully repair this for $150 to $300 as long as the display itself is ok
