If the second light is blinking to orange or red, that is usually the lamp indicator light on an LG DLP tv. That indicates your bulb needs replaced, or something surrounding the bulb has failed (like the cooling fan for the bulb for example) IF you have a spare bulb handy, I'd replace the bulb, keeping in mind if you touch any part of a new bulb with your bare hands, you just cut the life of the bulb by more then half.

If you're seeing a shadow either vertically or at an angle the most common/probable cause is the light tunnel in the light engine. I have this same problem with my ru-44sz51d and have found many people with similar problems. For reference search "dlp light tunnel" as many samsung dlp's are suffering from the same problem and have been since they were purchased. You should be able to repair this yourself, but only if you feel comfortable and are knowledgable in such a situation. The repair may consist of replacing any number of the 4 or so mirrors or just reapplying the silicone adhesive to the original mirror. As I have not done this yet myself I can only speculate and refer to topics I've read about. Good luck

Press and hold the Mute button on the remote and at the same time press the Enter button on the TV until the Reset menu appears. Press Center button on remote to clear hrs. Your done!

1) Can be dust do a good clean
2)Check for the fuse and change it if needed.
3) Capacitor needs to be changed, you'll have to findout which one.

it is possible your neighbor has a universal remote and is playing tricks on you, or it could be over heating problems.

how old is the tv is it possible your lamp is burned out this is what a dlp screen would do.

Most LG sets need to have it set by a LG authorized repair shop with a service remote. But you can try this proceedure as it will work on most models of LG
Press the ? button on the remote then press 9876 then press OK. The led s should flash for a minute then stop

Sounds like a product defect to me, I would be on the phone with LG to get a certified tech out to the house ASAP!

First trying cleaning off dirt /dust if after you do this and you still see spots then you could have a bad color wheel or bad light engine.

While TV is in standby mode Pree ? then pres 9-8-7-6-then press (Enter) then Press (ok).

PULL THE LAMP look and see if it is bad .

Call your warranty and see if they can replace it, just dont tell them why it really broke.

most tvs that are digital have already switched over and thats problably what your tv did and i don't know how to change or fix that problem

press ok to reset
