Red discol
Hello csumbi,
There might be a problem with your light engine since you are using DLP technology. I would suggest that you check the color wheel or the LED matrix. The check the Fresnel lenses along the light paths. These are more like causes of that red discoloration. The fix is usually to replace the light engine. I believe you can get a free estimate from any TV repair shop, which is your best bet. I am unable to tell you the cost in Australian Dollars. Is it a major problem yes it could be if your light engine is a sealed unit requiring the whole thing to be replaced. You can fix it yourself, but you will need the part number, and a schematic to show you how to remove the light engine.
I hope this helps,
Thank you,

Consistent Yellow shadow on my 27inch toshiba
This problem is usually caused by stray magnetic field, from magnetic objects (e.g Loud speakers)placed too close to your TV set. The solution to this is to place such objects away from your TV set.As you take the suspected object away the shadow may disappear,if it doesnt then it will need your TV set to cool down,by turning it OFF for sometime, may be the next morning, depending on the room temperature. If it persists it should be DEGAUSED.
Projection tv doesnt come on
You left so little information my friend, it will be impossible to help you. I did however find Magnavox home page where you can request service on your TV set. You will need to go to the link I leave you and on the right side of the page, click on request service. Then a customer service person should be able to assist you. All I can find from the info you left is that your zip is 28601. The Magnavox site should be able to help you. Good Luck, and I hope you get your set repaired. The link is

Blue on bottom of screen
It is not the bulb it is the blue polarizer lens in the engine. LG has made it available and an LG authorized service center can probably replace it for you, although many are just replacing engines which will be VERY expensive. Good Luck
LG rear projection Tv
Try resetting the TV by unplugging it for 2 minutes then trying again. If it still has any problems then double check your connections to the TV.
Resetting the indicator light
Hold down on the Enter or OK on the TV and Mute on the remote control for 5-10 seconds. The TV should then ask what you want to do. Perform this with the TV on.
Unwanted pop-ups
The input source such as the cable or satalitte signal my be a bit weak or the set may have a problem with the streo sensitivity. This is not an adjustment that a consumer can do. Have the cable checked out also. Goood Luck

I have a LG dvd
player 5083 inserted the disc the correct way into the draw but the machine does not play the disc a very slight humming noise is heard then it spits the drawer back out
Clean the Lens: Use a DVD cleaning disc to clean the lens. If the problem persists, consider professional cleaning.
Test Other Discs: Try playing different DVDs to see if the issue occurs consistently. If it's specific to one disc, that disc might be the problem.
Check for Updates: Make sure your DVD player's firmware is updated. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for firmware updates.
Try a Different TV: Connect your DVD player to a different TV to see if the noise disappears. If it does, the issue might be with your TV.
The hum is simply the player trying to read the disc. It can't so, it spits it out.
Remember that prolonged use of a malfunctioning DVD player could potentially cause damage. If the problem persists, consider seeking professional repair or replacement
