it is possible your neighbor has a universal remote and is playing tricks on you, or it could be over heating problems.

how old is the tv is it possible your lamp is burned out this is what a dlp screen would do.

Most LG sets need to have it set by a LG authorized repair shop with a service remote. But you can try this proceedure as it will work on most models of LG
Press the ? button on the remote then press 9876 then press OK. The led s should flash for a minute then stop

Sounds like a product defect to me, I would be on the phone with LG to get a certified tech out to the house ASAP!

Call your warranty and see if they can replace it, just dont tell them why it really broke.

This is the 3rd LG tv to appear to have problems today on this site. If it's only a couple of months old, i don't know about Australia, but in the UK the retailer must replace the set, but after 3 months, you have to get your local LG service centre to collect it, and in past experience, they can't seem to find a fault after holding on to it for weeks and not returning e mails or calls.

most tvs that are digital have already switched over and thats problably what your tv did and i don't know how to change or fix that problem

Look at where it's made? If it say's China, it should last from only 1 to 2 years. They don't use quality workmanship and don't offer customer support.
