Turn camera off take out battery's and sd card. Once everything is out put it to the on postion for about 2-3 min. Then put battery's back in with the camera being on still leave sd card out. Once it says no card turn camera off then put sd card back test in dark. If still not working call Moultire 8006533334 option 1 and 1 for a live person.

I do not have an answer, but do have the same camera with the same night time problem. I have just used it for the first time and all the night pictures are black. I assume the flash is not going off. I have a second one that I will test as well. Maybe some one knows something else but I find now way to toggle the flash off and on.

There is no software online, it was a 'one hit wonder' and it says the disc that came with it only contained drivers and Ulead Video Studio 7, Ulead Photo Express 5. Fairly typical on such devices. You will need computer video drivers for your mystery video camera. Audio is easy because computers recognize sound.

You can't directly connect the JVC GR-AXM205 camcorder to a computer. You can connect it to a USB (or internal) AV video capture card.
