I've found amazing recipes online and especially at countless Nutritional/ Vegan websites.This type of juicer is a "juice extractor", meaning it doesn't completely liquify all of the pulp like the new Ninja does. Look for recipes that work for a juice extractor.

I had the same problem but discovered that it is just tightly stuck together. Pull straight up on the strainer, it is difficult but it will pop up. The base piece will follow.
