Mygarage door opener was purchased used. I don't have any directions for adjustments.

There are screws on the unit to adjust the opening and closing tension and place it stops. They are probably set for the previous installation and need to be adjusted for yours.

Garage door won't go down all the way and then reverses to open

Check that the wheels and bearings are turning freely and that the door is not cocking to one side when closing. If the wheels are catching because of bad bearings, because the tracks are out of true or because the door is not staying straight in the tracks, the motor thinks that the door is hitting a car or a person and reverses. One thing to try: disengage the motor and try moving the door through the full traverse. Most automatic doors have a pull-cord that disengages the door from the motor. CAUTION: You may need a friend to help with the door, because it could be surprisingly heavy,.

I have the 3/4 Whisper Drive Plus. It will open about 3-5 inches then close and open 3-5 in and stay that way.

It could be as simple as a drive motor force adjustment... (you will have to get out the instruction manual) Most likely your balance spring... one has failed look over your springs very carefully... if one has shattered your counter-weigh is only lifting HALF the weight of your door. Most garage doors need to be fairly NEUTRALLY BALANCED for the best, longest and reliable use. Routine lubrication of the springs can add decades of useful life to your springs... CHATTERING Springs make a lot of noise and will soon shatter (break). Sears makes house calls... but they try to sell openers... you don't need. https://www.bing.com/search?q=overhead%20garage%20door%20service&qs=n&form=QBRE&pq=overhead%20garage%20door%20service&sc=8-28&sp=-1&sk=&cvid=10E42AB45BFC41CC8E82D92DA893AB36 Sears Online In Store Shopping Appliances Clothing More

Battery is bad. I removed it and garage door opener is still beeping. It is driving me crazy. Help

as long as garage door is powered(plugged into outlet), then with a removed battery backup or a bad backup battery, the unit will beep to alert you to the issue. replace the backup battery with a new/good one.

I couldn't close the door with remote but i can open it, not sure why?

U need to check the safety sensors. There may be a blockage in front of them... or one or both sensors have gone bad. Make sure the wiring from the sensors is complete to the opener unit first. There should be led lights on the sensors to indicate if they are functioning. One thing you should do is read your owners manual. If you can not locate it check online for a copy or reach out to the manufacturer since this is a safety issue they should be willing to help you. When it comes to solving issues we tend not to take the time to read things first. I even do it myself. I have had this problem and had to press the open/close switch until the door was fully closed. Most types of safety sensors are available online or in the big home repair retailers. Good luck

Door goes down and when it stops at botton, it

Adjust the position of the door by using the black and purple buttons. Black moves the door UP (open) and purple moves the door DOWN (close)
Setting the up position: 1. Press and hold the black button until the LED starts flashing slowly, then release. 2. Push and hold the black button until the door reaches the desired UP (open) position 3. Push the door control or programmed remote control. This sets the Up (open) position and begins closing the door. 4. Immediately when the door begins to close press and release the black or purple button. This will stop the door Setting the Down position: 5. Push and hold the purple button until the door reaches the desired DOWN (Closed) position. 6. Once the door is closed, If there appears to be too much pressure on the door, you may toggle the door back and forth using the black and purple buttons to reach the desired closed position. 7. Push the door control or programmed remote control. This sets the Down (closed) limit and the door should open.

There is a beebing sound coming from the unit

This sounds like the unit may be running on its battery and the battery is running low. Is the orange light also blinking? (The LED is on the side near the worklight so it's easiest to check if the light is off.) First check if the power is on to the house and then to the garage area. Next check if the garage door opener is plugged into the outlet. Make sure that the battery is properly connected to the wiring harness (and the opposite side of the harness is fully seated as well).

If the LED is red and the unit is beeping, then replace the battery for the opener. The battery kit is part 41A6357-1 for the WD962KD Chamberlain Evercharge model. The Chamberlain 4228 is a substitute battery kit and is available at Amazon and other vendors. It is a little harder to put in the opener (and then remove later).

If a new battery doesn't solve the problem (after 48 hours of charging), then the opener's recharging circuitry has failed and can't recharge any battery. Depending on the age of the opener, you may be better off replacing the entire unit.

The manual for the WD962KD opener is available from Chamberlain here: http://www.chamberlain.com/doityourself/pdfdocs/114A4249.pdf .

Please add a comment with your garage door opener model or check your manual to get the correct battery for your opener.

I hope this helps.

Drive unit works ,but led light is red & unit

Good day!

I'm sure your battery is in weak capacity. The battery is also have a life span depends on the quality and use.Usually when the battery is operating a high wattage or power like motor, the life span of the battery is more shorter that the other battery with low power operated.

So I suggest to replaced the battery with the same type, ratings, and specification.

I hope this solution will be helpful.Thank you.
