Let's start with the basics: 1) Is the drive getting power; is the supply correct and the connection firm? Does the drive spin-up at all? 2) Is the data cable known to be good? 3) Is the port on the computer known to be good, mechanically and electrically? 4)Does the OS support this device, or does it require additional drivers? If it worked before, 9 times out of 10 a bad connection somewhere is at fault. Even if software or data corruption is involved, the cause is almost always an intermittent connection.

This fault / alarm / warning is not listed anywhere and the company is no longer in business. Turn over the console and see if there is a door for a back up battery. It may be warning that it is running out. Do the same with the main control unit.
