What you have wrong with your tv is in the power supply board, it is a very common problem which you can fix yourself for around $30 this is a MAJOR Samsung problem and thousands of people are having this problem. What you need to do is deenergize your tv and lay it face down on a table so you can work on it. Use a philips screwdriver to remove all the screws on the back cover of the tv make sure to remember where they go for when you put it back together. Remove the back cover and follow the two wired from where your tv power cord comes in and in the middle of your tv they will plug into a board, this is your power supply board. Look for blown capacitors, also check the fuses the tops will be bulging upward and caps have writing on them like 10v 1000uf or 2200 uf and 3300uf are the most common. What you will need to do is replace these with a 16v cap but be sure the uf number is the same, and you need 105 degree rated caps. There is also a negative side to the capacitor which is marked with a stripe and a shorter leg on the bottom, these have to go in the same way or you will blow the board, remove the board with screwdriver and disconnect all wires, now you will need your tools solder, soldering iron, and preferably a solder ****** to remove the old bad caps here is a youtube link that shows u step by step just go there and type samsung power supply repair, and whether you have a vizio, philips or another model that this is posted on they all have samsung power supplies in them so if you are having power problems this is your fix, you should be able to get all your parts at radio shack or on the web. Thank you and votes are welcome and if you cant find the parts get to me and I can help you get them

My TV will not turn on , shows that it is getting power
Hello Onixx, hi, you TV is on standby mode, this happens if the TV internal circuitry has problems such as a short, loose screws or wiring, the affected part is the power supply board, these boards are usually replaced entirely.
You can also have this serviced, but the price difference is almost if not greater that the replacement board.
You can always do the service yourself, but you need the exact board.
one thing though, if the board is not yet available, you may want it serviced. (they will replace the entire board also)
Let me know if you want to do the service yourself, that is if you are a technical type of guy who knows electronics, then I will give you instructions. thats all. have a nice day.

TV won't show cable input...
Turn OFF, Unplug everything from the WALL, wait a few mins, and replug all back in again. Now Re-setup it all again, Now the doing of this should Reset anything done to the TV.
R - Restore: Restore default settings
E - Environment: Change your environment, remove from media cabinet, try different media, try different equipment (TV, router, hotspot, etc.).
P - Power Cycle: Power cycle by unplugging your networking equipment from wall for 2 minutes to reset.
A - Access this Knowledge Center for useful articles to resolve issues.
I - Install the latest System Software Update.
R - Resolved: In most cases these steps can resolve your issue.
If necessary, adjust the video input on the TV to match the input connector that is being used to connect to the system.
Check that the cable is securely inserted. Try disconnecting the cable from the system or TV and then reconnecting it.
There may be a problem with the AV cable in use. Try using another cable that is compatible with the PS3™ system.
If the video output settings on the system do not match those of the cable or TV in use, there may be no picture. If the screen goes blank, turn off the system. Then, with only the system and the TV connected, touch the system’s power button for more than 5 seconds to turn the system back on. The video output settings will automatically be reset to the standard resolution.
If the resolution of the video content is not supported by the TV in use, when the video is played the screen may go blank. If this happens, go to the screen for selecting the resolution in the system’s video output settings, and then select all the resolutions that are supported by the TV.

Picture rolls and will not
Hi
Thanks for using FixYa. From what
you have described it seems that you
might have a backlight and/or an inverter board issue with this TV set. It
could also be due to the inverter circuits for the backlights. The
inverter is the power supply source for the backlights. There could
also be a screen driver problem; if it is then you have to change the entire inverter
board. All this is only recommended if you have some kind of expertise for
checking the internal circuitry of the TV as these units have high voltages
running even when the set is switched off. The cost to change the inverter
board including labor would be around $250, if you get this done by a
professional. Please do accept the solution if the issue is
resolved or else revert for further assistance.
Thanks
Rylee

No picture but I have sound
First possibility to get checked the power supply board.but as you mentioned that there is sound but no picture this clears that power supply is OK.
Sound, but no picture in LCD TVs is indicative of an inverter board failure. This is the board that powers the back lights that project through the LCD screen. An inverter will run about $180 plus labor. An online source for replacement inverter boards is available here. You can cross reference by your Make and model number.
The inverter board looks like this, and is normally supplied by a dedicated voltage from the power supply (24vdc or 60vdc). Most of the Polaroid models use 24vdc.
Its not that difficult, the web site that I provided you with a source for a replacement also has a little tutorial on replacing an inverter. They vary in location by manufacturer, but usually on the left or right side - and look like the picture I provided you. Just be gentle with the cables you have to remove and replace.
The tutorial is here.
this will help.thanks.

Tv wont turn on
Your issue is more than likely with the power supply unit. I have the same problem and it turns out about 7 of the capacitors are blown.
