Polaroid 1720-7 Remote Control - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

I just got a new directv receiver...dvr....the codes for polaroid were not listed on the unit but were included in the booklet that came with it. They are as follows....10765,10865,11262,11276,11314,11316,
11326,11327,11328,11341,11498,11523,11991,11992
These were all listed for Polaroid. Hope this helps.

I have one like this and found out its code is 0486 as a TV on a Silvercrest programmable remote

follow this steps and fix it. Use the digital or cell for to see the LED ON when you hit any keys.otherwise open and clean it.God bless you The batteries are dead. Replace the batteries. There is something blocking the receptor on the main unit. Remove any obstructions and clean the area in front of the receptor. The remote is too far from the receiver or at too extreme of an angle. Move closer to the receiver (within 23 feet) or change the angle (within 30 degrees) to the receiver. A fluorescent or other bright light is shining on the receptor on the main unit. Turn off the light or shield the receptor. The device has a keylock or lockout feature turned on. Check the display for a key or lock symbol, then follow the instructions in the device's user manual to turn off the keylock or lockout feature. Either the remote or the receptor on the device is not functioning. Use an Intraed Sensor to see if the remote is sending a signal. If the remote is sending a signal, it used to control that device, and no other solution works, you should have a service center look at the device and remote to determine the problem and if it can be fixed. If the remote is not sending a signal and you have replaced the batteries, you will need to repair or replace the remote, depending on cost.

please use this secret take you r. control point upward the digital camera( you must get one) turn on the camera and from the display you must see the diode LED iluminating. see the picture ilustration. If not working you must open the r. control and clean the keypads for dirty, corrosion, grease. fix it.God bless you

Check whether the micro-switch [Channel up/dn] have struck or not. This might cause the TV to jump from channel to channel. Refer its user manual and make an auto search for on air programs. If the do not memorize any of the channels, the fault is with its main system memory IC.

If you are using a universal do not expect it to even if it programs to have all the functions you need or want or had with the original remote. Universal remotes are far from UNIVERSAL.

The best argument for an original remote is even if it programs it will just not have all the features needed or wanted that the original had.

I don`t think you can, I have several channels, like 64-1 2 &3, and just have to let the cannel search find the first channel..ie;64, then I pressed remote up one channel, it went to 64-2 etc, hope this helped

• This is a code search remote. You do not need a code.

1. Turn on the the unit you want to program.
2. Now take your remote and hold the "code search" button.
3. While still holding the "code search" button press and release the "T.V." button on your remote.
4. Now wait for your "T.V." button to flash once and then release the "code search" button.
5. Now press on and off on the remote until the T./V. actually turns off. This may take a up to a hundred presses but when the TV shuts off the remote is set.
6. Use your newly programmed remote.

Sometimes you can find that codes from other brands will work for yours. I did find some pioneer codes that might be the same as the ones you have already tried. PIONEER 004 009 090 179 185. Other than that the booklet should have a step by step on how to find a code that will work. That takes some time but usually will work.

We would be happy to help you with that. The code that you are currently using doesn't sound like it is the best code for your remote so we are recommending trying another remote code. We're going to start by pressing and holding the TVbutton located on the top of your remote until all mode button back lights comeon, and then release. Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your Polaroid TV; here some of the codes we currently have: 669, 627, 591, 627, and 688. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try severaldifferent functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV.Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this isthe case, try the other codes listed for that device until you find one that iscompatible with your equipment.

Try these steps for progamming the remote, if this doesn't help there is a compatibility issue.

1. With the desired equipment on, press and hold the correct Mode button until all mode button backlights illuminate (about 3 seconds), then release.
2. For AUX mode Power Scan ONLY: press 0 for a TV, press 1 for a VCR/DVD, press 2 for any other device, then press *.
3. Press and release the Power button.
4. Press the Up button once a second while pointing the remote at the desired equipment. If the code for the equipment comes up, the equipment will power off.
5. Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
6. To verify the code works try several different functions for that equipment.
