First we need to know if the remote is working. Heres the "secret" way to check a remote. Use a cell phone w/camera.

• Set the cell phone to camera
• while watching the camera screen and a known good remote, aim the remote at the lens and press a button (volume works well) on the remote (not a device button ie; sat,tv,vcr,etc). You should see lights turn on/flash. Now you know your camera can detect IR light.
• Do the same again with the remote in question. If there is no IR light output, the remote is the problem. replace the batteries, ensure good battery contact, retest the remote.

If the remote is working then the problem is in the unit.

you need to check the speaker with a multimeter ..wheather it is fine or not ...

I just found it its 0008 I had to do it twice but it worked!!!!

I have one like this and found out its code is 0486 as a TV on a Silvercrest programmable remote

Hi, try this site out, pick the comcast universal remote that matches the one you have (from the pictures provided) and type in the type of tv, yours being a Polaroid, then your model information ( FXX 321C) , there are instructions provided on the site when you get to that point, good luck

Look at the IR emitter in the front of the remote through a digital camera, if it blinks, you have the wrong code. If it doesnt, you have a bad remote.

Philips Universal Remote Code is 1204

We bought this last year at Staples, but I believe they have the same ones this year $9.99. You will have to do the code search. I finally got it to work and then retrieved the code above. I have re-entered it and everything seems to work. It does not have everything, but does channels, volume, menu, and some other functions. I bought the same TV on black friday. I am happy I got this to work. I am having to put all the other remotes away, including my really big one. Oh well.

Turn off CC1,2,3 or 4. You are seeing a Closed caption screen with either no data or encoded data. Usually the blank CC's are 2,3, or 4.

I just got a new directv receiver...dvr....the codes for polaroid were not listed on the unit but were included in the booklet that came with it. They are as follows....10765,10865,11262,11276,11314,11316,
11326,11327,11328,11341,11498,11523,11991,11992
These were all listed for Polaroid. Hope this helps.

Here is the link to Polaroids phone support page. I suggest that everyone call Polaroid and complain about this issue since many people are having this same problem, and Polaroid's answer to me was maybe we will have some codes for our new TV's by Jan of next year.
