I have a rockford fosgate

This amp is rated at 200 watts when run at 4 ohm load when in bridged mode (mono). You will need to check the measurement of the load at the amp's positive and negative location where it meets the speakers. You are actually going to need to measure the load of the speakers on the amp. If it ran too low of a load, meaning less than 4 ohms, there is a good possibility that the amp overheated and damaged some internal components due to not enough resistance. Some of their amps have internal fuses that can be replaced. It may be time to visit a diagnostic shop.

Good luck!

The amp was getting hot

first check the ground. it should be directly to the frame and bare clean metal...no paint! then check the ohm load from the subs its probabily too low causing it to go into protect. if there a safeload for the amp back your gains down...never go below 3/4 of the way electronics do not proform well when they get hot!

Power/ Ground Problem.

1. Start by undoing your ground.
2. Use a jumper cable to hook up the ground to the battery ground.
3. Install fuse and test.

If it continues to blow you have an internal amp problem.

If it fails to blow a fuse you have a problem with the chassis ground.

If it is a ground issue you can chase down the various ground straps and clean the connections or you can run another ground cable to the chassis (body) ground to the battery to reestablish the connection.

I TAKE IT THAT YOU ARE REQUESTING A SOURCE FOR A PAIR OF ENDCAPS FOR YOUR PUNCH-200IX. No end caps, what are they

The end caps screw on to both ends to hide the cables and wires. Not required unless you don't wat to see any wires in a surface mount type install. Does not affect performance

Can a rf 201s amp push 4-6x9s and 4-104s door speakers

Hello jon_jonmay,

Wiring 4 speakers to each of 2 channels, you will need to wire them series-parallel and run them at 4 ohms. If you wire all 4 parallel, the load will be 1 ohm and the amp is only stable down to 2 ohms.

According to your manual, the 201s will deliver 50 watts into each channel at 4 ohms . So it will be supplying about 12.5 watts per speaker which is about what you get with the average factory radio. They will work OK, but they're not going to be very loud.

Hope this helps.

201s amp isn't working

With...

The meter set to DC volts

The black lead on the ground terminal of the amp

The red lead alternately on the remote and the B+ terminal

You should have read 12+ volts. If you did, and the power light was not on, the power supply was not producing regulated voltage. This is generally due to blown power supply transistors.

Ordinarily, if someone wants to repair their amp themselves, I'll try to walk them through it but this amp requires more than basic skills and tools to replace the power transistors. This is best left to an experienced tech. Try to find a reputable repair shop in your area to have it repaired.

If you can return it, you should do so. Do not remove the back cover if the tamper-evident seals are intact. If you do, the seller will almost certainly refuse to refund your money.
