I WANT TO LAY THE PC DOWN ON ITS SIDE AND SET THE
would not recommend it but if the tower is very sturdy and doesn't have a flimsy cover it should hold the wait of the monitor without any problem just make sure not to set the monitor on the side where the mother board is because it may damage it if any kind of flexing is done in that area

Defragment el1352 eMachine
Modern computers don't need their hard disk to be defragmented.
Perhaps you better try to clean up your disk and registry, with a program like Ccleaner. Don't forget ti install Microsoft Security Essentials, to keep the viruses out. When you have memory problems, please also check the Hard disk for errors with property and Extra, now check.

Wi-fi
Your desktop may already enjoy a wired broadband Internet
connection, but a Wi-Fi connection will afford you greater latitude in Internet
use.
Wires will not be necessary, so you can establish your PC in
any room or area of your home or office and still stay connected to the
Internet.
Fortunately, you only need a wireless router, broadband
modem, and ethernet cable to make this Wi-Fi connection.
Disconnect your modem from the wall socket it's plugged into.
Connect the ethernet cable to the back of the modem.
There is a clearly marked ethernet port here.
This port will appear to be an oversized telephone jack.
Connect the other
end of the ethernet cable to the ethernet port on the back of the wireless
router.
This port will look exactly the same as the one on the rear
of the modem.
Plug the broadband modem back up to the wall socket and wait for it to power
on, initialize and detect its new connection to the wireless router.
Locate the manual that shipped with your wireless router.
Find the URL, or web address, that is contained within the
pages of this manual.
This special web address is used to set up your router's
network and security permissions.
Also, be sure to locate the default password provided within
the pages of the manual.
Enter the URL into your web browser and allow the page to
load.
When prompted, enter the password that you found within the
instruction manual.
Begin setting up your new wireless network.
You will be asked for an "SSID," which is just a moniker
for your new network.
This will be the name seen when the network is listed in an
available network list.
Choose whatever name you like.
Select a password for your new network.
While encrypting your network is optional, it is highly
recommended.
Along with the password, choose "WPA" security
encryption.
"WEP" will also be an option but it is an older
security protocol that is technologically inferior to WPA.
Click "Apply" to save your changes.
Click on the wireless icon on the right-hand side of the
bottom toolbar on your PC's desktop. Select your network's SSID from the
drop-down list.
Enter the password you chose for your network.
You will now be connected to WiFi Internet on your PC desktop
and free to browse the Web.

Cd rom will not open
Click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll down cd-dvd rom drives you might see a yellow question /exclamation mark ? ! or a red X right click to update driver You might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd/dvd computer then plug them back in restart your this should activate the found new hardware wizard. If this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem "you only need to do the following" if you cant see your disk drive in windows explorer Close all open programs Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE SYSTEM CurrentControlSet Control Class {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column. Upper Filters Lower Filters Upper Filters.bak Lower Filters.bak If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete After deleting the keys, close the registry editor Reboot your computer Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone. if this fails to fix the problemIf there is a small hole on the panel of your dvd drive push a straightened paper clip inside until you feel it press down this will open up the drive.
