Roland JUNO-Gi 61-Key Mobile Synthesizer with Digital Recorder - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
HI,
I have a Roland Juno
It sounds like it is transposed. Look for the transpose function in your user manual. It shifts the keys by half notes either up or down. I would be surprised that factory reset would not clear the transpose setting. First, realize that these keyboards are controlled by a crystal oscillator and they just don't drift enough to shift even one cent worth.
IF the unit is NOT transposed, then the other problem is LIKELY with the pitch bend wheel. Try the action of the wheel and make sure it responds by moving up and down about 50 cents. If it doesn't go both ways, it is possible the mechanism has slipped or been damaged.
Jx3p have power but no sound
Could be a number of things causing this. Does the headphone jack work? Did you try both L and R outputs? If none of these work (and you're sure that your cables and amp are working), then it is a problem with the internal electronics, and you'll likely need to replace some parts inside, or send it to a service center. Try www.syntaur.com for a parts source.
If one output jack does not work, but the other does, then it is most likely a problem with that one jack itself.
The fonts on my digital interface on my keyboard
I will note that MANY of the "smart" LCD displays have the ability to turn the displayed information upside down by either a command or a jumper. I did NOT find any parameter you can set in the Juno-Gi to set this in the manual... it is a mystery... Possibly there is a cable to the LCD that is loose. You need to correlate when this happens to other events or actions to narrow down the problem.
A gap occur when i
Yep! When changing VOICE's (we don't call them tones) the generator chips and processing within the synth has to clear out the old voice generation and free up the generators for the new selections. As fast as the processors are, gaps can occur.
Some of the higher end synths are much faster or have so many generators available and processing power that they can do a more orderly transistion.
I am not sure how many generators the JUNO has, but tyoically two are used for every note being keyed. The specs say 128 note polyphony which should be the number of generators... HOWEVER they say these are SHARED with the audio track section. Layering of voices will also divide the number of available generators.
A lot of the arranger keyboards are NOT intended to be played LIVE and as a result transistions of voices are not done on the fly smoothly.
Hi. Can I use the second pedal on my Roland BK5 to scale up the key one semitone at a time?
Yes, you can use the second pedal on a Roland BK-5 keyboard to transpose the key of the music that you are playing up or down by a semitone at a time. To do this, you will need to press and hold the second pedal while playing the keyboard. You can also use the transpose function in the settings menu of the BK-5 to adjust the key of the music that you are playing by a specific number of semitones.

I need a circuit diagram for a Roland MA-15D speaker please?
It's a Chinese made Roland and no service information is available as when a fault is found the main board is replaced, eliminating the need for service information.
I would check that it is a stereo out jack and not mono. If it is a stereo out, check that both input phonos work. If they do, replace the faulty socket or damaged pcboard.
