old gateway , now owned by ACER.com the old Gateway in Seattle went BUST. yours 2012 made, not too old, and is ACER for sure inside. here is the list of top fails, and cures. 1: remove the big battery and test PC, run ok now, on AC only. it must even forever. 2: replace the RTC coin cell battery at 7year max old. (its time) 3 ;the HDD is bad. we run HDD tests on it now., in this order learn that if the RTC bat. goes dead the NVram forgets and with NVram forgets the BIOS can find the perfect HDD. that is why ORDER matters. for that reason. if after replacing any RTC bat. we go in to BIOS and reset BIOS to defaults inside BIOS, then make sure boot order inside BIOS shows, HDD 0 first. and is not missing, if missing HDD may be dead. HDD can fail in 5 years on cheap laptops. and for sure bumped or dropped.

"No signal found" is a generic display from a monitor that is not receiving a signal from the input cable. Your tower, however, may or may not be functioning. If you have another source to connect the monitor to (laptop or other PC) you can try that. Most monitors have a "menu" button. You could press that to see if a menu is displayed on the monitor, That will indicate that the monitor is working as a stand-alone. It will also indicate which input source is being used. If the input source is incorrect, then no signal is being received from the incorrect source. As far as the tower is concerned, the are a myriad of causes for no signal to the monitor. It could be unbootable due to a hardware failure at the mainboard level or the power supply. If you hear a single beep then the main board has passed it's diagnostic testing successfully (memory is ok, chips and CPU are ok). If you hear more than a single beep, the main board is having a problem. If a single beep occurs, them most likely it is the graphics controller. any other failure would be displayed on the monitor. If the graphics controller is on the main board, then you will need to install a new graphics card, bypassing the main board's controller. Was this a working system at one time?

you will need software like NERO to burn cd or dvd select the option (burn image to disc) for mp3 cd to play on all cd players or if you try this go to your downloaded file and clik once left then once right clik then you see the option (send to) put cursor on that option then then another menu will come up then select your dvd drive if you cannot play that dvd after its burned you might need either dvd creator software or you might need a dvd player with Divx capability...you might already have dvd and cd burning software already on your pc like power producer im sure you'll get it on piratebay.org if you download utorrent first<(FREE) hope this helps be carefull of viruses on pirate bay

It's either a bad cord or a bad power supply connector. Most PC power cords are the same and interchangeable. Also check the connector on the power supply when you unplug it from the computer.

First problem is as good as windows 7 is it is no longer supported. The hardware on the older machines are giving out as well. Every step forward on Windows 10 is another step backwards for Windows 7. IF you are not able to upgrade then the most likely problem is the RAM has failed.

i have a Gateway laptop. never heard of reseting media recovery disks? you can sometimes order recovering disks from Gateway not sure which registry key you are talking about? if you want to access registry, there are commands in DOS, if your pc is running. go to search box, type registry commands-it may guide you. not sure about you OS or pc age.

your system's display drivers might not accept certain resolutions. sometimes changing your display(monitor) can cause problems like this, when it is not the same as original build limits?

if it is the original video card on your PC you should be able to download the drivers and other software related to hardware from Gateway webpage. i have used it many times to download or upgrade drivers, software, bios, etc. you go there put in your model number info and it should have all that stuff including manuals? i cannot believe they would not direct you there. Unless, your pc is too old and they dont have it on web? my laptop is about 6+ years old and its support page is still there.
