Eaton 9130 showing Notice # 28 DC link voltage
Notice #28 on the Eaton 9130 indicates that the DC link voltage has exceeded the safe operating range. The DC link voltage is the voltage between the positive and negative terminals of the battery bank. It is important to keep the DC link voltage within the safe operating range to prevent damage to the UPS.
The safe operating range for the DC link voltage on the Eaton 9130 is 280-450V. If the DC link voltage exceeds this range, the UPS will show Notice #28 and switch to bypass mode. This means that the UPS will no longer be able to provide power to the connected loads.
There are a few things that can cause the DC link voltage to exceed the safe operating range. One possibility is that the battery bank is not properly charged. Another possibility is that there is a problem with the UPS itself.
If you see Notice #28 on your Eaton 9130, you should first check the battery bank. Make sure that the batteries are properly charged and that there are no loose connections. If the batteries are properly charged and there are no loose connections, then you may need to have the UPS serviced.
Here are some additional tips to help you troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the battery voltage. The battery voltage should be between 28 and 45 volts.
- Check the battery temperature. The battery temperature should be between 10 and 35 degrees Celsius.
- Check the battery connections. Make sure that the battery connections are tight and that there are no corrosion.
- If you have a multimeter, you can measure the DC link voltage directly.
If you have checked all of these things and the DC link voltage is still not within the safe operating range, then you will need to call a qualified technician to diagnose the problem.
My Powerware 9120 2000 has low power alarm and shutdown at 50% charge
A Powerware 9120 2000 is an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) device that provides power backup to connected devices in case of power outages or other power issues. If the UPS is shutting down at 50% charge and showing low power alarm, there could be several possible causes:
- The battery is failing: The UPS is designed to shut down when the battery charge reaches a certain level to prevent damage to the battery. If the battery is failing, it may not be holding a charge and may need to be replaced.
- The battery is not compatible: Make sure that the battery you are using is compatible with the Powerware 9120 2000 UPS. Using an incompatible battery can cause the UPS to shut down or display error messages.
- The battery cable is loose: Check the battery cable connections to ensure that they are tight and secure. A loose battery cable can cause the UPS to shut down or display error messages.
- The UPS is overheating: Check the UPS for any signs of overheating, such as a hot feeling on the top of the unit or a burning smell. An overheating UPS can cause the UPS to shut down or display error messages.
- The UPS firmware is outdated or corrupted: Check to ensure that the UPS firmware is up to date and not corrupted. Outdated or corrupted firmware can cause the UPS to shut down or display error messages.
If none of these solutions solve the problem, it's recommended to contact the manufacturer or a professional technician for further assistance. They will have the knowledge and expertise to troubleshoot and diagnose the issue with your Powerware 9120 2000 UPS.
Why can't you just answer the question? Please don't refer me to a page in the manual that doesn't actually answer the question! The question is... I do not have the password to my Eaton 9130 bups. This unit was given to me by a friend, and no he doesn't remember the password, He is no longer with us. How do I reset the password for this unit?? Perhaps I'm not asking the right question?? How much money do you want to tell us how to reset the factory password???
Posted by Eugene Loach on Dec 08, 2019 Eugene you are very confused, 1: we are not Eaton ! nor any other non fixya website. 2: and is a free help site, GENERIC HELPERS, ( be happy?for free) 3: the tool is supported by the maker only. 4:further more password resets are protected by laws now. both not covered in book and by laws stating not to disclose these methods , to hackers and or thieves, ( 21st century stuff) the new laws in effect dictate to many makers, this, the new or original owner must prove they own it. then they send you the cure. now what is a BUPS, is that a typo, for UPSJust the UPS (but Back UP USP is what it is) not the communication port card. right? and uninterruptible Power system A.C, (I have one here) there are 2 Password levels stated in the manual USERS and service mode. the manual does not cover your topic, that is correct. now you know why.. the factory setting for Password, if not altered (page31) is "USER" beyond that, contact EATON, for 10x better answers. most users of any UPS do not change the password.home users? don't they just use the default ("USER") and is covered in the manual page 31. here

What is the meaning in eaton ups, error code 192
UPS used lead acid batteries which die after 3 or 4 years. Disconnect the power and open it to see which ones it uses. You will know they are dead if they have swollen or melted. Buy replacement batteries.
My eaton ups shows min charger voltage
no UPS stated, model.
how old are you batterie(s)
charging errors of most kinds means the battery is bad.
they can do that even year old, but mine last about 3 years on avg.
no battery in any USB with Gel Cells, last a long time.
a fraction of all else inside the box. in fact.
buy a new battery and put it in.
