The battery may be bad but if unit has a lighter power cord it should still power with that connected (watch as most have a fuse in that lighter plug).

It's a bit complicated. Either the internal memory got corrupted or there is another issue. Can't really tell you which is which until i have it in my hand. But i assume is the first.

I am not familiar with that model.

You will have to check at the factory website for updates, if any are available they will be there.

can you restart it ? if yes, do so and try again. Usually, it helps. If not, soft needs update.
