Subwoofers are working but aren't that loud.. help me!

not a bad set-up at all. i can help you i do need some more info though. what head unit do you have? what type of box is it just the normal rectangle box with or without divide sealed or is it ported? measure the size of the box and give me the dimensions please? how did you run the cables and how did you hook up between the deck and the amp? does the amp have built in crossover this could be problem just a little tuning? if it does make sure you selelct lpf mode and turn the hz knob all the way down ( counterclockwise) check the gain control should be another knob turn it clockwise all the way. you might need a little flat screwdriver to reach all these. is this amp bridgeable and if so are you running bridge mode ( 1 channel) if not look where you hook up the speaker and look and both channels and you will see a pos connect on 1 channel and neg connect on the other, put both neg wires on neg terminal and put both pos wires on pos terminal. in this set-up you will have full raw power. let me know about this and i will help you the most i can. good luck and happy booming.

P110 thump,twich when volume off

that is normal. Just because they get such a boost when amp is first turned on. You can always turn off high pass and turn gain down just a tick

I HAVE A ROCKFORD FOSGATE

This can't be glued. common problem.
You will have to find a speaker repairer who can replace the foam surround or just buy a new sub.

Subwoofer wont go off.....vibrates like mad

Sounds like a short circuit, check all connections and check that it will work as set up. Some will only work as a mono(i.e. you use 1 caannel not a combination of both) could also be a loose connection. Also if the head unit is off, the amp for the sub should be off. Is the amp wired to permanant live? If so this will cause this. Wire to electric aerial switch on head unit.( there will be a live wire and a switch wire on amp).

Punch p1 10" not working

I had the same issue with 2 Punch p1's. The wire stripping was most likely cut where the wires are saddled against 2 bare metal "C" shaped tabs before going toward the cone and coil. This was causing the wire to ground out. I cut both wires and **** connected them and bypassed the factory bracket. They work fine now. This is a poor desogn from Rockford and I can see where it might happen numerous times.

Static Interference With Subs

First test would be to disconnect the RCAs from the amp and see if the buzzing goes away. If it does, the issue is either with the head unit or noise still being picked up on the RCA cables. If the issue stays, it's possible your electrical system has not a nice and clean 12V. You might have to get your alternator and voltage regulator (if so equipped) checked.

Also, make sure the RCAs on the back of the head unit aren't touching anything metal. Set your gain to 50% and see if the buzzing changes. Check your ground connection and make sure it's short, clean, and solid. If you have multiple amps, ground them to the same point.

Sub installation

You would be better served to go to a local shop and get the correct fittings to fit the connections, and use those to connect your subs. Just running the wire tips will result in loosed connections and plenty of headaches..

Rockford Fosgate Punch P1000X5 5-channel car amplifier keeps blowing the in-line fuse?

Internal or external short. Disconnect everything but power, does it still blow? If it does, you need to take it in for repair..

2 12 p3d212 2 ohm hooking up to a rockford

Hello a_brake11,

The P325.1 is relatively small to power a pair of P3's. You'll only get 325 watts RMS at 2 ohms (162.5 watts per sub). The P3's power range is from 100-500 watts, so they will work, but don't expect them to be really loud.

For best power, your subs should be wired with the voice coils in series and then the 2 subs paralleled to the amp resulting in a 2 ohm load.

Hope this helps.

I have a Rockford Fosgate 1500 BD amplifier and terminals for the power cable will not loosen or tighten how do I fix it

First off will the fastener turn ? If not try using a bit of wd-40 and letting it "soak" for a little while . Also be sure you are using a good proper sized Phillips screwdriver . If the fastener still won't turn try using a can of "computer duster " inverted so the liquid comes out , note this will be well below zero degrees , and freeze the screw head , then try turning . If the fastener is stripped and the ttol slips you will have to remove the amp cover and grip it with a pair of vise grips ,pliers or a flat blade screw driver .

Can I run 2 12 inch 2ohm fosgate and a 4 ohm 12 on a rockford fosgate 401s 1200 watt amp

Yes. Wire the two 2 Ohm speakers in series and connect them to one channel. Connect the 4 Ohm speaker into the other channel. This will give you a balanced 4 Ohm load on each channel.
