Take pictures of the back start removing screws, look at labels, write down model number, download pdf manual, and customer service number, part list, if your unit has a small rubber oval belt that can be replace, if a gear is shot, you would have to replace a section p/n it may take some research.

On the same side were the turning knob is located, all the way down under the base there is a very subtle slot to plug in your cord.

I have the same problem... if anyone knows how to fix this , please let us know.

replace motor or belt

Most likely the belt is broken. The CD track can be removed by taking a slot screwdriver and gently pushing in the center tabs on any track. With a little patience you will eventually release the track and expose the inside where the motor, gears and belt drive are located.

There is a small 1 1/2 inch O ring style belt that connects the motor to a set of gears. This belt is most likely broken and needs to be replaced.

Take a flat blade screwdriver and gently push in the center tabs of any CD slot. This might take a little while but once done the CD track will come apart and you will have access inside to the motor, gears and belt.

If you can hear the whirl when you activate the unit ...i think the motor is OK..but the CD reader or we can say the eye that read the CD ..has have the problem..try to clean it with a cloth and alcohol ..
beacuse when a eye cannot read the CD the motor stop itself..or it will display no disc on the panel..

and if the problem still persist..
try to clean the revolving mechanism.maybe there is a dirt there that make the revolver to whirl slow..so it will automatically stop..
after a second...
