i have the same proble with my royal 435dx i thought the error mesage was e1 but ut could be el....did you get a solution? i looked up the manuel online no help and i called their tech support which is outsource and barely understandable....no help

It could nee a very small drop of sewing machine or gun oil on the shaft that the wheels run on and on the gear shafts VERY SMALL DROP
