I have a verifone nurit 8020, When i go to reset

To make it useable we need to remove the tamper first. Nurit OSP Loader is the the program we use to remove the TAMPER error. Replacing the internal battery and reloading a fresh NOS (nurit operating system) will remove the error. Check our website at freshpoint.org or cal us if you can at (775)358-2922 . It can be fixed, you don't need to replace it. thank you. hope this help : - )

Paper

A T7+ is a drop and load terminal. Simply open the lid, drop the paper roll in, feed about an inch of the paper out from the bottom of the roll, then close the lid.

An RTC chip error on these terminals is unfortunately the same as "Tampered". They can only be repair by a certified outlet and it depends on the issue it usually costs minimum $100 to repair one for use again by these repair depots. There is no way to fix it yourself as when it is opened you will definitely get a "Tampered" message because of the sensors in the machine.

How do i change the font size on a vx570?

It only has 2 font sizes associated with that printer that is attached.
Get to the setup menu by either hitting the purple button that is under the downarrow on the screen. Choose setup then enter password usually 1Alpha Alpha66831 & or 998877. Once in the setup menu hit the down arrow until you see the printer prompt hit the FKey assoc. with that. Once in the printer functions hit the Fkey that says next until you see the font size choose edit and it should have 2 options 8 or 10 pick the one you want F4 exit save changes and RED X key out back to the main screen.

Dropped 8020 wireless on stone

Hello
The "G" forces involved in a drop onto a hard surface like this will destroy the circuit boards and the components on them inside the device. Without sending it to a repair facility there is no way to know what exactly is damaged by this accidental dropping. It is my guess that you will find it cheaper to just replace the reader than repair it. Just the estimate to find out what might have been damaged will be at least $75.00-$100.00

The most common error with these terminals is that they are connected improperly. Everyone plugs the power in first then the rest of the cables. Ensure that your cables are plugged into the proper ports first. The 10-Base-T port is for internet only, the Phone icon port is for phone line, the RS232 is not used unless otherwise stated, the Calculator looking port is for pin pads only. Once the cables are properly connected reboot the terminal by unplugging the power cable for roughly 10-15 seconds then plugging the power back in. Once it starts again it should be fine. If you are running on a multiline system for phone the terminal will not dial out unless you set the prefix to dial 9 first.

Ink is very, very light,

These terminals are almost all Thermal printers on them. To get your printing fixed to something darker when you open the paper door, you want to take a very lightly damp cloth or paper towel, do NOT get wet and wipe off the thermal print head just below the little metal serrated edge that you tear the paper on. This will clear off the print head of any dust and debris that will hinder the printing. If your weary of using damp cloth just use the tip of your finger and it will remove most of the debris.

THE RECEIPTS ARE ONLY PRINTING

There is no ink in this machine. Try changing the paper. If that doesn't work, then you need to either a)replace the spring that holds the paper cover closed so that the paper is pressed tightly against the print head or b) replace the print head. You can also try using a rubber band to hold the paper cover closed more tightly. If the spring is the problem, a rubber band will do the same thing.

Reload paper into verifone

There is a lever on the right hand side of the paper roller. Press it. The paper cover will pop open. Put in the new paper roll, and shut the paper cover with just a little bit of paper sticking out. You're done.

Yes, it really is that easy.

Dropped my nurit 8020 on

The unit has in it a small, mechanical integrity sensor - one that constantly checks the position and fitting of the external case.
In your case it got triggered when you dropped the reader. If after you press the enter key to cancel the alarm nothing happens then the sensor is still triggered.
To fix that the case must be opened and the sensor reset mechanically. This is something only the repair shop of a dealer can do, you will have to take it to one. And no, your unit is not a goner.
