If you are just reloading a NOS in your Nurit 8020 machine, even if your machine is secured you should be able to load it, make sure your com1 baud rate setting is the same, your 8020 is set to 115200 baud rate, and should set up your com1 at the same speed...hope this will help and if you still need more help you can call us at (775)358-2922 ask for Randy. if you have a seperate check reader for your terminal. start by unplugging the credit machine power source from side, then unplug all other devices from credit machine. clean the reader with canned air, never use liquid. plug in the devices and the power source last, this should fix the issue. if it does not you can

What that means is that there was some sort of communication error in the machine. In my case, a credit card payment went through to the merchant services but not through my machine. The balances did not match. Call the customer service number on your machine and they will fix it within a minute!

This is most likely cause by a crupt transaction or a transaction that is not aloud stuck inside the terminal. Once you batch out contact your processing comapnyask them if they see you current batch you jut settled. If so they will need to clear the the terminal and up the batch number. Just make sure all of your sale are settled with your processign comapny before you go ahead and clear the terminal.

Unfortunately there is no Tampering solutions other than sending them back out to an authorized manufacturer for them to reset the Tampering switches on the machine and reset or repair the software in the machine. These machines have a multitude of tamper switches that can be set off by a jolt to the system from being dropped or from power surges and such. System password is universal UNLESS your merchant account provider has changed it to their own internal one.

Universal is 1 then the little black alpha key above number 2. Hit that Alpha key twice it will look like nothing happens but that one just changed to a z. then 66831 and enter that is the system password.

So 1 ALPHA ALPHA 66831 and then the enter key.

too run the terminal in offine or store & forward mode your account provider needs to enable it for you if it is enabled try this first. At the main sale screen:

Hit number 2 by itself if it says batch ayth or store & forward turn it on then you are in offline mode meaning it will not dial out for Authorizations. You must however when you get to a phone line you must hit settlement and it says you have offline trnasactions do you wish to upload choose yes. Each trans ran in offline mode will get a live approval and then when all is approved you will get a settlement report.
