Jensen VM9424 Car Video Player Questions & Answers
Lines on screen
The screen has a connection for each line on the display and the soldier on some of these connections has gone intermittent. When the unit becomes warm enough, the soldier expands and the connections become more consistent.
If you're skilled, this can be repaired. If not, either replace the unit or take it to a reputable technician.
Vm9424 unit will not power on pressed reset button
Hello lumberjack623,
When the jensen starts acting this way, it is simply a power problem. The device is not receiving power from the main source. The battery is weak and need to be charged before the unit can turn on once again. The battery power is too low to turn the unit on.
Try to check the power source or the connection to the power source. It is not charging the players battery. You need to have the connection port replaced. Also the power connection needs be checked.
The battery is simply weak that is why it goes right off when it comes on.
Hope this was helpful to you.

Radio comes on every time
Hi there,
In theory, the unit should retain the last setting/screen which was used prior to turning off the ignition (the instruction manual does not indicate otherwise). The Nav audio should also default when when in NAV function (the radio audio should not occur, unless there is an option to do this in the NAV menu setup).
First, try pressing the RESET button on the top/left corner.
Q. After turning off the ignition and turning back on, does the radio lose it's "presets" (ie radio stations you have programmed)? If yes, then the YELLOW wire is not connected to constant 12v power.
On the wiring loom:
Yellow wire - should be connected to constant 12v
Red wire - should be connected to ignition
Hope this helps.....
Cheers,
Scott

Jensen vm0312 is on, but tray will not flip up
It sounds like there may be an issue with the mechanical components of the DVD player, specifically with the tray. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
- Check to see if the emergency eject feature is working. There should be a small hole on the front of the DVD player, and you can use a paperclip or a similarly sized object to push the button inside. This should manually eject the tray.
- Make sure that the DVD player is receiving power. Double-check all of the connections and fuses.
- Reset the DVD player by disconnecting the power for a few minutes, then reconnecting it and trying again.
- If none of the above steps work, it may be necessary to take the DVD player apart and check the mechanical components for damage or wear. However, this is not recommended unless you have experience with electronics repair.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, you may need to seek the assistance of a professional electronics repair technician.
