Nikon Coolscan Slide Feeder Jam Solution

Nikon Coolscan Slide Feeder Jam Solution

593662b.jpg
Do you find your older slides, cardboard slides, or irregular slides jam in the Nikon SF-210 Slide Feeder for your Nikon CoolScan 5000?

Try this solution:

Take a AAA battery and place it in rear, left side of the slide feeding tray as pictured below:

The slides will fan out nicely, and your Nikon CoolScan will no longer try to load more than one at a time. Instead it will load them one at a time, 50 per tray, and you can actually walk away from it and let it do its job, just the way you intended to when you bought the SF-210 slide feeder attachment!

I hope that helps.

The negative mount is jammed

Removed the outer cover - remove the screws on back and bottom then slide it off. Re-latch the tray cover.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Hi,

So, you tried to reinstall the drivers ?

Can you see the scanner in Device Manager? Click on Start, right click on My Computer, then choose Properties... . Click on the Hardware tab, then click on Device Manager. Look for any ?'s or !'s that you see. Or, check for the scanner under Imaging Devices. Do you at least see the scanner device? If you do, then you've at least narrowed it down to perhaps an application issue.

What error messages do you get when you try to scan?

Thanks

That means that the USB turns off when you go to hibernate. This means that the USB port is configured to turn off when you go into hibernate to save power but does not come on. This can be chagned in the control panel then power options or power management. So that I can give you more specific instructions kindly provide me with the type of windows that you are using as well as the brand and model of your computer.
