Rane Serato Scratch Live Computer DJ Solution (Macintosh and Windows) Sound Card Questions & Answers
I hooked up my sl
This is a very high resolution sound system, so requires the computer to be idle of any other tasks when in use. While a MacBook is up to the specs, if it had a virus, fragmented files, was receiving lots of email, etc., then one would not be able to get the results one expected.
So the question first is whether or not it ever worked correctly? If so, then I would not suspect hardware, but would think the computer needs software maintenance or to have its wireless network shut down when operating as an analog to digital converter.
Another possibility is that you may have used different cables. Use the ones that come with the Rane SL-2 Serato. They are far above normal quality. I would also suggest not having any other USB device plugged in at the time, as that will also compete over bandwidth. If all else fails, reinstall the drivers, as they may have become corrupted.
I hat live window, just i need hotmail.com home
That would depend on what web browser you are using (IE, Firefox, Opera, etc..).
For IE:
Go to the website you want to set as your homepage (in this case, www.hotmail.com)
Click on Tools > Internet Options.
Under the General tab, you will see Home Page.
Click on Use Current.
Click Apply, then click OK.
Whenever you open IE, the first page will always be hotmail.com
I have had this problem
abs mode is the default mode, and most closely resembles the properties of normal vinyl. The beginning of the track is mapped to the start of the record, and by picking up the tone arm and moving the needle to another part of the record (needle dropping) you can move to a different position within the track. abs mode faithfully reproduces the movement of vinyl control records, including stops, starts, scratching, needle dropping, rubbing and other turntablist techniques. When you reach the end
of the record using either rel or abs modes,
Scratch Live automatically switches to int mode.
This is known as Emergency Internal mode, and
prevents long tracks from stopping when you run
out of record. You can switch from Emergency
Internal mode to rel mode by lifting the needle
and placing it in the lead-in of the control record.
Emergency int mode will activate after 1 second.
Use the keyboard shortcut F1 (left deck) or F6
(right deck) to switch to abs mode.
NOTE: Be careful when scratching near the
end of the record not to accidentally go past
this point and into int mode, or the track will
no longer respond to record movement!
Ringing sound in background
sounds like there is a input to output loop of some kind. On some of my soundcards I was able to configure a virtual patchbay. Check around in the software for this and macke sure outputs are to outputs and ins to ins. Good luck.
A humming sound
the humming sound is due to an earth problem as your system has been earth by moving a connection or faulty cables .
try to disconnect all cables and reconnect .
Check all loose connections .
Music keeps stopping whle playing. How can I fix this problem?
It sounds like the track is still downloading and the music is playing faster than the download speed. You could try pausing while it has loaded.
I find a lot of these streaming sites suffer with the problem. I don't think you can do a lot about it. Unless spending a lot of money on faster broadband etc is your thing.
