The rest from PSU are for hardware, except if you have any video cards in pci-e slots, but they are not truly part of the motherboard they are addon.Then from the case you have power button, reset, pled,hdled.Sata ports on mobo, cpu fan, addon fans, DVD rom.Front panel audio.So now you have taken one memory stick and entered the BIOS, then tried each one.You need to check each stick.Now you put in your hdd erase disk, boot from it and you're going to erase your hdd so it's all clean for a fresh install.Now you throw in the windows disk and you boot from it to install windows.Right !!!

Turn it off. Symptoms suggest hard drive failure. Use of s taking a physical battering. This may damage data beyond recovery. The drive Take it to a shop. Your other choice: Oddly, freezing the hard drive sometimess temporaily fixes the drive long enough to recover data. Replacement of the hard drive is the likely fix. Unless you want to try to freeze the HD and copy data off of it quickly, only a shop specializing in data recovery might recover such. Hopefully youhave backed up data to another drive. the only thing to be aware of is the voltage cannot exceed that required for the laptop . for example if the solar panel puts out 12 volts you will need an adaptor before the usb connection to reduce the power to the voltage for the laptop

Generally, a code 10 says that the driver was not loaded, which could be the driver is missing or corrupted . Go to the Dell download center and download the driver for your profire device. It could be on a driver CD that came with the computer Too

This could be due to a CD or DVD left inside the DVD drive. The laptop may be trying to boot from that instead of the hard disk. Make sure no USB flash drives or CD/DVDs are left connected/inserted. If the laptop is trying to boot from the hard disk then the files on the hard disk may be corrupted. This is hard to correct without risking loss of your data. Try running the diagnostics by pressing the 'Fn' key (keep it pressed) and press the power button to turn the laptop on. You should be able to access the diagnostics from there.

there is a button on the F keys, the top row, it looks like a triagle on top of a line press it and it should eject the disk, if this does not work or you cant find it, go to My Computer and when you see the icon of the disk, right click and click eject on the menu.

Your drive may be toast. You need to find the right F key (typically F2 or F8 or F12) to open the BIOS menu. Start pounding on one while booting until you find it. You may have to try all 12 F keys. Once you get the BIOS menu (not the boot menu), there should be a device section. Make sure your C: drive is visible to the BIOS. If not, the drive is usually bad and needs replaced. You will need a drive preloaded with WIndows, or you will also need the Dell recovery CD set. However, if the C: drive looks OK, next find the right F key to open the boot menu. There should be options there to boot Windows, Safe Mode, Restore to a previous check point, or recover to factory settings. If this does not work, you will need to get the Recovery CD set from Dell for your model. Be warned this usually destroys all old data files.
