The plugs on this model projector is very delicate, over time the solder around the plug will begin to crack. Until eventually the connection is lost. Another possibility is that the power supply has gone bad. Using another cord would not cause this. I can fix the projector if you'd like. My ebay screenname is gtitubro.
No power
yeah i had same problem where the power would not come on. literally nothing, no green light, no power button, nada. I was able to fix it for under $20. I got a soldering iron from a friend, some solder, and a toolbox with a hexascrew or sectascrew or whatever it is that has six (i got mine from radio shack) starpoints. so basically took it apart which was complicated but totally doable. then i took off the top motherboard thingy and then was able to unscrew the power supply board which is about 2 inches squared. taking this off i was able to look around on it and visibly see one of the circuits on the bottom was blown. so i just re-fused it with the soldering iron. it was the first thing ive ever soldered and i was capable of doing it so it cant be that complicated i guess. anyways, that got it working again. didnt break anything to open it so why not give it a shot?

Then the problem must be in the internal power supply circuit. It's possible it may have a bad fuse or some other component may have failed.
Infocus in2124/in2126 projector keeps turning itself on. When it does you can't turn it off with the remote. What could cause this?
There are a few possible causes for a projector like the Infocus IN2124/IN2126 turning itself on and not being able to be turned off with the remote:
1. Remote control issues: Firstly, it's worth checking the remote control itself. Ensure that the batteries are fresh and properly inserted. Try replacing the batteries or using a different remote control to see if the issue persists.
2. Signal interference: Sometimes, external factors can interfere with the projector's remote control signal. Check if there are any sources of interference nearby, such as other electronic devices or strong light sources. Move these items away from the projector to see if it resolves the problem.
3. Faulty power button or control board: It's possible that the power button on the projector or the control board itself is malfunctioning. If the power button is not responding when pressed, it could indicate a hardware issue. In such cases, contacting Infocus customer support or a professional technician for further assistance or repairs may be necessary.
4. Firmware or software issue: Occasionally, a software or firmware glitch can cause unexpected behavior in electronic devices. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your projector model on the Infocus website. Updating the firmware can potentially resolve any known issues and improve overall performance.
5. Power supply issues: In some cases, fluctuations or problems with the power supply can cause erratic behavior in electronic devices. Ensure that the projector is connected to a stable and properly grounded power source. Consider trying a different power outlet or using a voltage stabilizer to rule out any power-related issues.
If the issue persists after trying these steps, it is recommended to reach out to Infocus customer support or consult a professional technician with expertise in projector repairs. They will be able to provide more specific guidance and troubleshooting steps based on your particular projector model.
I have an Infocus G300-ww
In the Infocus IN1 G300-WW projector the problem won't turn on, is not with the lamp or configuration, it is the Power button that internally breaks a plastic tab and does not make contact at the ignition point, you just have to disassemble the upper plastic, look for the plastic part of the Power and put glue on it so that it is the same as the other volume and light contacts. The projector is reassembled, it is connected and the Power is pressed, so it should turn on and give the image.
