New Bulb in my In-Focus Lp130 wont light
the connection that the lamp plugs into backs out of place preventing the connection from being made. you will have to remove the top. with thetop off, install the lamp and look to see if the lamp connection is going into the connector on the lamp housing. if not, you can get a flathead and push the connector into place on the lamp housing and hold it there while pushing the lamp into place. to keep this from happening again I always used to melt the connector to the lamp housing with a soldering iron.
How do you remove the "Top Cover" off the InFocus

My Infocus LP 130 worked fine for years and I
Usually the bulbs for them are ac 110 and there is no problem with 120 ac it doesnt make a difference and if it was the bulb or a fuse it would not just work everyonce in a while so i would check all of the fans and filters if this does not make a difference then look for loose wires.
Very noisy projector, I can see that the noise
It's been awhile since I worked on one of these, but I believe there are 2 screws on the rear and 2 screws on the bottom that have to be removed. Then there is a slot on the front bezel which if I remember correctly is on the side of the front bezel furthest away from the lens. Stick a small flathead in the slot and slide the release in the slot down. You should see that end release and then pull the front off. Pull the rear off by popping it loose with the flathead. There is no slot for the rear. It just sort of snaps in there between the top and bottom covers. Then unplug the ribbon cable from the board under the top cover and remove the top. Have fun and good luck on the colorwheel. The segments precise and I don't recommend gluing them back in especially if you aren't sure of the sequence. Lastly, it could be hard to find one for this model because the service life for this model ended around 4 or 5 years ago and may no longer be supported. Google Infocus and go to the website and see if you can get one.
Hi There... I have problem with my Infocus LP 130
theres another fan next to the engine. all fans must work for the lamp to light. the colorwheel must be turning freely for the lamp to light. you can also take the top cover off and then slide the lamp out and then back in while watching to see if the connection on the lamp is pushing the female part on the lamp housing back instead of going into it. if it is, hold the female part in place with a driver or something while pushing the lamp into it.
Do not start
Hi,
Check the lamp. if there are black spots in the lamp, Then its time to replace the lamp. If lamp is fine make sure the fans are running properly .If you still face the problem then you need to replace the ballast . But the expense for replacing it is too costly .
Hope this helps .
Infocus lp 130 projector has developed a dark spot
the light tunnel has collapsed and needs to be replaced. unfortunately, infocus no longer makes or has parts for this model. you could try and find one on ebay. usually the power supply goes on those, so if someone has one with that problem you could get it and swap out the parts. good luck!
There is a blue shadow
the light filter on one of the lcd panels is fried due to excessive dust and heat. unfortunately, you'll need to replace the entire optical engine.
How do i open to insert the bulb?
look on the bottom towards the front opposite the lens. there is a switch lever that you pull back, then slide the front plate away from the lens.
