if you use toner that says for use in instead of Kyocera brand toner this can happen you have to remove all the toner in the dv unit and install only Kyocera toner when you do that enter 1087 1087 then 130 and let it run until its done this will refill the dv unit with toner even though you have a copystar machine its made by Kyocera when it stops enter 01 then print to return to normal operating mode

hi you can use xy zoom mode With this mode, it is possible for you to select the length and width of the copy image separately. The magnification ratio can be set to any 1% increment between 25% and 400%
1, Set the originals to be copied
2,Touch the “Reduce/Enlarge” key.
The “Reduce/Enlarge” screen will be displayed
3,Touch the “XY Zoom” key.
The screen to select the magnification ratio will be displayed in Inch specifications
4,Touch the “+” key or the “-” key, as appropriate, specify the
desired magnification ratio for the width and then the length
of the image. It is also possible for you to enter the desired
ratio directly by touching the corresponding “# keys”
[“#-Keys”] key and then using the keypad
5,Touch the appropriate key on the right side of the touch panel
to specify the direction in which the original was set
6,Press the [Start] key to begin the copying procedure

If the mem bank of printer is full it will slow down, go into Control panal on PC, hit Printer icon, highlight icon and right mouse click, go to prop click empty drafts and copies, and you will see the junk go in bin.
Cannnot copy a double sided document to cardstock
This is normal. The cardstock is fed from the manual feed or bypass tray and when selected the duplex option goes away. Many manufacturers do this....meaning they do not allow duplexing from the bypass tray. For the same reason they do limit automatic duplexing to standard or near standard papers. Cardstock is specifically excluded from duplexing obviously due to it's thick nature and when duplexing the paper has to be turned over and go thru paper paths that are not suitable for thick paper. If you must make a 2 sided copy using cardstock you will have to run the sheet thru the machine 2 times, also known as manual duplex.

actually fan really works even at sleep mode to exhaust heat, the problem is one of the three fan located at the left side if your facing the machine, is deffective a broken blade causes it to sound bad try to remove its connector, afer all you have two more working
Copystar cs 305 scanner is not connecting to computer
I do not know much about the situation but, I'll give it a try. First turn the pwr off to the scanner and try to ping agian just to make sure you are not trying to use an ip adress that is aleady being used. You should not recieve a responce untill you turn the power back on but, if you do get a reponce while the scanner is off change the ip adress on the scanner. Next if that did not help, you will need a correct path to your computer from the scanner like example( \\server\public\scans ) next you will need a username and password to gain access to the shared folder..
I brought my copystar 3035 home from my office,
Go to your browser and type in the IP address (I.E. 192.168.1.1) of the copystar into the address bar at the top and you should get a access screen of the copier from there you may have to log in using a password like admin or password it should be at default like a router or something. From there you should find a path to setting up icons that point to shared folders on you local machine or a server.. good luck
