Maybe your screen is already set to the brightest it can be. Does trying to make the screen dimmer work ? (on my HP laptop f3 increases the brightness, f2 decreases it. But perhaps the actual brightness is not really the problem, there are other settings to adjust the visibility of your screen, for example contrast. I don't know how these can be altered on your model, how you do this is probably different to how it is done on my laptop. If some keys are not working you may need to change your keyboard. This is very easy to do. unscrew the screws from the bottom of the laptop and remove the keyboard, check the partnumber and order a new one from e.g. ebay.

Hello Most of the laptops has a button on the top of the Touchpad to lock and unlock. Sometime it's on the keyboard you have to press (fn) and one of the key from F1 to F12 will show the Touchpad logo. You can do it from there.

Are you asking because the screen has gone dark?Darkness is a backlight issue,can be the screen backlight,inverter or the cable itself causing it.Screen too bright can be adjusted via personalization or often keyboard shortcuts that have what looks like a sun symbol on them,the left key darkens when pressed and the right brightens

On some notebooks, the TouchPad can be turned on by pressing an on/off button located near the TouchPad. If the notebook does not have such an on/off button, you can still enable the TouchPad in its settings control panel.

if your using windows 7 go to start menu control panel and then along the left side it should say connect to a projector . click on it and it should give you the option you want

Try pressing F8 at the start-up if it shows a menu choose to boot in safe mode and then perform a system restore. If that do not solve the problem the you have to do a fresh install of windows.
